Function Overview

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Project Planner for our NAR Cooking Project Leadership organization. Candidates should should possess a passion for project planning and organization, have a strong sense of values, and passion to win.

This project planner will be responsible for assisting the project leaders to deliver key projects in our continuing journey to product leadership. As a member of the Cooking Project Leadership Team you will be making certain that the team stays organized, coordinating team events, managing project data, and ensuring the team is prepared for key project updates.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Tracking of project master schedule, including follow-up on execution w/ core team members.

  • Maintains and reports action register activities.

  • Releases MSRs and POs.

  • Tracking, maintenance and report of expenses and capital calendar

  • Gathers, organizes, processes, and communicates project data like reports, obeya room and presentations.

  • Prepares content for project meetings and integration events.

  • Tracking of Parts development and production readiness: Part supplier selected, Toolmaker selection, eCAR approvals, Tooling PO, Tooling initiated, Tool execution tracking, Tool release from toolmaker to molder, Tooling delivery to final supplier, Tool trials coordination, Tool arrival date, Drawing releases, Part & Assembly revisions, PPAP for Make and Buy parts.

  • Covers Project Leader absence when needed and appropriated.

  • Plans and coordinates all activities related to project prototype builds

  • Support on development and tracking of project master schedule.

  • Project KPIs tracking and report.

  • PPAP tracking.

  • Prototype builds on time, on quality on cost.

  • Capital calendar and project expenses execution.

  • PBOM coordination.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 2+ years of project experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • MS Office, Google Suite, Excel/Google Sheets Formulas & Charts, MS Project and/or SmartSheets.

  • Understanding of SAP ERP systems.

  • Solid Project Management foundations, Good understanding of WPD process.

  • Skill in budget management, financial planning and analysis, capital management.

  • Preferred qualification: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Good organizational skills and ability to structure work.

  • Good analytical skills.

  • Consistent communication skills

  • Ability in to integrate across functions

  • Operational stability on project execution to allow the Project Leader to focus more on Stakeholder, Risk, change and People management.

  • Project team members influence for positive outcome, seeking effective ways to generate ideas, alternatives, and possibilities.

  • Ability to see the high-level overview of the organization and effectively negotiate and implement decisions and/or actions that support project delivery.

  • Ability to adjust to a changing environment or situation and to adopt a flexible approach that shifts according to the situation.

  • Proven People skills to work in cross-functional teams with can-do attitude.

As a member of the Cooking Project Leadership Team you will also play a key role in the advancement of project management practices for continuous improvement on our track record of delivering great results. Job Responsibilities: * Manages cross-functional teams to deliver new product development projects in regional and/or global scale, taking projects from original concept, till final implementation and project release. * Takes ownership for project delivery results, Influencing cross-functionally to ensure smooth transition of projects to business owners. * Deeply understands and manages all processes and tools of WPD, being a reference inside the organization related to the product development system. * Responsible for managing the project in the perspective of all knowledge areas: Project Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk, Procurement, Stakeholder Management. * Leads the project team in all projects phases, since Initiation, passing through Planning, Control & Monitoring, Execution and Closure. * Collect project requirements from all stakeholders, managing trade-offs to meet project goals. * Properly use all the tools and processes defined by WPD and PLO. * Project leader is the voice of the project, the central point of contact that conducts project meetings, integration events, status reports and gate approvals in all levels of the organization. * Manages risks, developing plans to avoid, mitigate, transfer, accept or explore them along with project team. * Manages changes guiding the team to request, analyse impact and probability, and make the go/no go decisions on change. * Registers, understand expectations, influences, reports project performance, collect and manage requirements of stakeholders. * Delivery of new product development projects approved in platform planning phase. * Recommendation for all gate approvals. * Delivery of project KPIs. * Embedment Project Management and WPD (Whirlpool Product Development) system tools, techniques and practices in the PLO (Project Leadership Office) community and project teams. * Time Management - Performing the work required to manage the timely completion of projects. * Integration Management - Performing the activities to identify, define, combine, unify, and coordinate the various processes and project management activities within the Project Management groups. * Resource Management - Performing the work to organize, manage, lead and develop project team members. * Risk Management - Conducting risk management planning, identifying, analysing, responding, and controlling risk on a project. * Cost Management - Performing the work involved in planning, estimating, budgeting, financing, funding, managing, controlling costs so that the project can be completed within the approved budget. * Scope Management - Performing the work required to ensure that the project includes all the work required, and only the work required, to complete a project successfully. * Quality Management - Managing the necessary processes, tools and controls that will ensure that project goals will be delivered without deviations to the requirements set. * Communication Management - Performing the work to ensure timely and appropriate planning, collection, creation, distribution, storage, retrieval, management, control, monitoring, and the ultimate disposition of project information. * Procurement Management - Performing the work necessary to purchase or acquire products, services, or results needed from outside of the project team. * Stakeholder Management - Performing the work required to identify the people groups or organizations that could impact or be impacted by the project; to analyze stakeholders expectations and their impact on the project; and to develop appropriate management strategies for effectively engaging stakeholders in project decision and execution.
