Position Overview

The ProductLabeling & User Documentation team at Siemens Healthineers, Point of Care business unit isseeking a Graphic Designer. This role will be critical to designing and drivingthe creative direction of our future packaging, product labeling, technicaluser publications, and other product collateral. This position will work closelywith the Design Lead and collaborate with our product labeling and userdocumentation staff to help define the look and feel of both electronic andprinted forms of visual media for Point of Care instrumentation, informatics,and reagent products. The graphic designer will be responsible for creating,maintaining and updating labels, user documentation such as user manuals,instruction for use, quick start guides and other customer facing documentationbased on the content provided by the labeling project leads and technical writers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensurethe creative vision for Siemens Healthineers, Point of Care products are reflected in ourprint and packaging materials and adhere to the design style guide.

  • Creatingnew templates and executing off of existing templates. Create and define technicalelements, perform production preparation, and final production of artwork anduser documentation.

  • Designartwork used for our product labeling and user documentation efforts.

  • Executethe design direction of our user documentation and packaging.

  • Involvedwith sketches, designing, organizing, and executing on labeling and userdocumentation projects.

  • Assistin developing visual and functional prototypes for internal and/or externalaudiences that will elicit feedback into the design process for print andpackaging, product labeling

  • Providedirection to the Product Labeling team to enable successful implementation ofgraphical and other design elements into ongoing product development projects.

  • Workdirectly with other Siemens graphic designers, illustrators, technical writersand project managers both within and outside the Point of Care Product Labelingteam to ensure execution of product labeling projects.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • BA/BSdegree or higher. An advanced degree or double major in Graphics and Industrial Design is preferred, but not required.

  • Directexperience in hardware line art for service, operator, and online manuals, aswell as maintenance documentation, product inserts, labeling and assemblyinstructions for translated global products.

  • Directexperience and understanding of Mechanical Drawings (Dielines of packaging) isa must.

  • Familiarwith the latest software design applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud and QuarkXPress(Plugins). Solidworks, Dreamweaver and coding experience is a plus.

  • PCand Mac-based experience is a must.

  • Desktoppublishing and document layout skills are a must.

  • Strongknowledge of print production, prepress, and four color process.

  • Stronginterpersonal and teamwork skills are a must.

  • Strongverbal and written communication skills are a must.

  • Strongattention to technical detail & adherence to stringent artwork guidelines amust.

  • Experienceworking with multi-language translations and translation vendors preferred.

  • Experiencein Medical device industry a must.

  • Portfoliorepresentative of work required to be submitted with resume.

Job Description: REGULATORY TECHN SPEC 2 Position Overview * Supports Regulatory activities under the Post-Market RA Team. * Fulfills documentation requests to support International regulatory registrations and Commercial regulatory activities (i.e. design changes) of IVD medical devices for POC. By providing support to international registrations, this role supports business expansion into markets outside the US and EU. * May also manage small projects. Responsibilities * Tracks and fulfills regulatory documentation pertaining to International registrations for new products and for product design changes. * Completes regulatory documentation for CE Marking IVD medical devices (Technical Files, Declarations of Conformity etc.) * Manage product registration projects in the Regulatory Affairs Product Information Database tool and collaborate with other Regional RA colleagues for completing registration projects. * May fulfill requests for Certificates to Foreign Governments, Free Sale Certificates. . * Completes RA Assessments / 510(k) Note-to-Files for design change projects. * Conducts review of labeling and advertising/promotional pieces. * Assists the Pre-Market Regulatory team with the international requirements needed for regulatory plans. * Notifies countries of product changes and collects registration information for product teams. * Confirms registration and release of product for sale into country. * Participate in global communication activities (teleconferences etc.).. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience * Required High School Diploma (GED) * Required industry experience: 2-5 years * Less than 10% travel * Demonstrated attention to detail, able to manage and track multiple requests at once. * Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be a team player.
