Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

• Design supporting structures and auxiliary equipment for new shop equipment

• No need to design industrial machinery; all new machinery is purchased

• Design mezzanines, foundations, support columns, and beams

• Specify and install support equipment for machinery (e.g., bridge cranes, ductwork)

• Primarily design using AutoCAD 2D

• Support maintenance engineering and shutdown projects

• Lead projects from design to installation, including specifying, evaluating, and installing new equipment

• Engage in hands-on engineering during equipment installations

• Consider industrial ventilation principles in machine installation projects

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with new equipment (e.g., hydraulic leaks, damaged hardware)

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Orrville, Ohio.

Work Environment

Design work will be performed in an air-conditioned office. However, candidates will regularly work on the shop floor, which is a hot and dirty castings environment, when installing or specifying new equipment.
