This position is within the R&D Innovation team in a world leading medical aesthetics company. This position is in Irvine, California.
This team is working on a greenfield program for customer retention and aquisition and is looking for a Technical Project Manager with previous experience in launching software products from the ground up.
The ideal candidate has hands on technical project management experience in all phases of software development and deployments, doing tasks such as planning and scheduling project goals, managing backlogs milestones an, deliverables using JIRA, and has an excellent attitude and personality.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management in startup teams/environments
Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum and Kanban development methodologies.
Proven experience with JIRA.
Experience building products by defining and aligning on clear requirements, working with a multi-dimensional technical R&D team, including non technical researchers.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with many different personality types
Ability to identify risks to timelines, escalate as necessary and propose mitigation strategies
Strong focus on driving efficiency and team collaboration

What You Will Be Doing
Collaborate with Lead Engineers, Senior Product Managers and other technical leaders to plan, maintain, and prioritize engineering work via the Engineering JIRA board
Execute the Scrum Master role, including running daily/weekly scrum ceremonies for both Engineering and Product teams
Facilitate technical discussions/decisions for the program
Liaison with internal teams and outside vendors for technical specification documentation
Create and maintain technical artifacts (roadmaps, project plans, capacity planning, technical workflows, etc)
Manage technical release planning in collaboration with engineering and product management
Develop a status and reporting structure that is consistent with agile principles that also gives insight into progress toward the business outcomes
Work with key stakeholders to define and gather requirements
Build trust based partnerships, communicate progress across organizational boundaries and levels from individual contributor to senior executive
Contract Rate: $65/HR, W2 ONLY.
Contract Duration: 6 months + extension, possibility of conversion
