Key Responsibilities

Participate with Project Director and Estimating in development of a Project Chart of Accounts
Develop detailed Project Contract status report
Coordinate with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics plan
Maintain thorough understanding of the McCarthy/Owner contract
Oversee the pay request process
Monitor project costs and Job Cost Report
Analyze and forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reports
Implement and monitor training of all staff personnel
Monitor project labor
Review and approve material, forming system and equipment needs
Assist Estimating in bidding projects
Implement applicable safety, EEO and Affirmative Action programs
Lead the project's quality process
Develop, schedule and lead project close-out processes
Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent McCarthy core values
Implement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering required
7+ Years of Experience in highly complex and related water or industrial construction projects
Direct experience on water or wastewater treatment construction projects.
Self-perform experience is strongly desired.
In-depth knowledge of water or wastewater treatment technology or process required.
Must be geographically mobile and able to relocate and/or travel.
Advanced knowledge of construction principles/practices required
Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work
Experience leading successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities

The candidate must have a strong background in the development of stormwater/water resources infrastructure projects and the preparation of drainage studies, impact analyses, and design plans. The preferred candidate will have experience with a diverse range of software packages such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D and the Microsoft office suite. Experience with closed-conduit H&H modeling software such as Infoworks ICM, XP-SWMM, EPA-SWMM, ICPR, and HY-8 is a plus. The preferred candidate will also have experience leading moderate to complex drainage design projects for a diverse client base, design oversight of various experience level staff, and coordination with other technical disciplines including geotechnical, structural, and construction. Primary Responsibilities: * Leading the analysis, design, and preparation of technical reports for diverse projects including open channels, closed conduit systems, pump stations, detention/retention ponds, mitigation of drainage impacts, roadway drainage design, the preparation of CLOMRs and LOMRs, and will perform reviews of proposed development plans and analyses. * Prepare Preliminary Engineering Reports, Plans, Specifications and Cost Estimates (PS&E), responding to construction Requests for Information (RFIs), working with Capital Improvement Plans (CIPs) and coordination with specialty practices and management of subconsultants, including survey, geotechnical, environmental, and subsurface utilities. * Candidate will work independently as well as oversee the work of teams of professionals and technicians. * The position includes a high degree of client interaction and a commitment to client service as well as the ability to collaborate with Senior Management on vision and leadership of overall engineering processes and strategy. * The role also encompasses business development activities, including proposal preparation and some marketing activities. Required Skills/Qualifications: * Strong writing and teamwork skills, as well as project and team management experience. * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or comparable engineering or applied science degree) * 10+ years related experience * Texas professional engineer registration (or the ability to become licensed in Texas within 6 months) Preferred Skills/Qualifications: * Demonstrated experience of successfully working with clients in the Houston metropolitan region including Harris County Flood Control District, Harris County Engineering, Fort Bend County Drainage District, City of Houston and other municipalities, TxDOT, drainage districts, and levee improvement districts in the region is considered a plus. * Experience with fluvial geomorphology (Natural Stable Channel Design), scour analyses, and large basin hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and dams is a plus. * Experience in managing small, and large-sized projects, preparing and maintaining project schedules, tracking project financials, preparing status reports and invoicing.
