Key Responsibilities

  • Participate with Project Director and Estimating in development of a Project Chart of Accounts

  • Develop detailed Project Contract status report

  • Coordinate with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics plan

  • Maintain thorough understanding of the McCarthy/Owner contract

  • Oversee the pay request process

  • Monitor project costs and Job Cost Report

  • Analyze and forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reports

  • Implement and monitor training of all staff personnel

  • Monitor project labor

  • Review and approve material, forming system and equipment needs

  • Assist Estimating in bidding projects

  • Implement applicable safety, EEO and Affirmative Action programs

  • Lead the project's quality process

  • Develop, schedule and lead project close-out processes

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent McCarthy core values

  • Implement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering required

  • 7+ Years of Experience in highly complex and related water or industrial construction projects

  • Direct experience on water or wastewater treatment construction projects.

  • Self-perform experience is strongly desired.

  • In-depth knowledge of water or wastewater treatment technology or process required.

  • Must be geographically mobile and able to relocate and/or travel.

  • Advanced knowledge of construction principles/practices required

  • Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work

  • Experience leading successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities

We're seeking a river/coastal structures and water resiliency Project/Program Manager to join our team in Texas - someone who can use their vast experience in the water industry and apply it to today's challenges. As a senior member of our team, you'll pilot river/coast structures project delivery and client services in planning, design and services during construction for a key client.  You'll establish work and staffing plans, write scopes of work for sub-consultants, develop specifications and level of effort estimates, and closely monitor project controls and subcontractor performance. You'll work with a global team as you coordinate design resources in the Americas as well as Global Design Centers as you oversee all aspects of design and manage projects to successful completion - safely, on time and on budget. We'll rely on you to interface with client management and technical staff, communicating effectively, identifying issues proactively, and building trust. Design your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow, and succeed. * Bachelor's Degree in civil, chemical, or environmental engineering * Professional Engineer (PE) license in the U.S. and the ability to obtain in TX within 1 year * Professional experience including project management in river/coastal structures projects Ideally, You'll Also Have: * Master's Degree and/or PhD in Civil Engineering, Hydrology and Hydraulics, Ocean Engineering * Experience working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and understanding of its processes and requirements * Experience leading and delivering projects associated with flood and coastal protection including levees, flood walls, gates, pump stations, and related infrastructure * Managed multiple complex projects with total installed cost of over $40 million and/or revenue in excess of $4 million * This position is open to any office location in Texas.
