In the role of Project Manager, you will plan for and ensure quality and timeliness of activities related to design, build and implementation of work product. You will participate in requirements elicitation, analysis of architecture, create and review design and contribute to activities related to estimation, staffing analysis & solutioning and risk planning. You will act as a mentor and support the project team in developing optimized high quality deliverables. Location for this position is Warren, MI. This position may require travel and or relocation.

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • At least of 7 years of experience with Information Technology


  • At least 4 years of experience with Auto Exterior Lighting - Head Lamps, Rear Lamps, CHMSL, Fog Lamps, Auxiliary Lamps (combined)

  • At least 4 years of experience in the following domains (combined) - plastics, sheet metal and mechanisms Skills

  • At least 4 years of experience in product development life cycle including but not limited to benchmarking, concept evolution, detailed design, design verification, product validation and launch related activities.

  • At least 2 years of experience in statistical analysis, dimensional management and engineering documentations such as DFMEA, DFMA & other required engineering reports.

  • At least 4 years of experience in gathering and analyzing requirements, feasibility checks, engineering studies, data management, project tracking.

  • At least 4 years of experience in providing technical and project leadership in directing a cross-function team from Change release to PPAP.

  • Experience in selecting qualified production suppliers working with purchasing and supplier base.

  • Experience in analyzing existing and potential documentation, focusing on improvement opportunities.

  • Experience in negotiating and acquiring agreement with interfacing components.

  • Ensure parts are delivered on time and to print, working with materials management, purchasing, and supplier quality.

  • Meet Customer deliverables. Full knowledge of customer implementation requirements.

  • At least 4 years of experience in assisting in developing engineering designs and implement engineering changes. Provide status update on the design work orders to the team & program management.

  • At least 4 years of experience in assisting in identifying opportunities to improve design efficiencies & cascading the same to design team. Coordinate with the design teams to get the design changes incorporated.

  • Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel.

  • Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.

  • Good Troubleshooting, Analytical, Communication and Client Interfacing skills.

  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.

Position Snapshot You'll be responsible for managing environmental needs for your customer as well as providing guidance and direction for the management of waste generated on-site. In addition to customer needs, you will handle multiple company related items such as invoicing, reporting, and building long lasting relationships with vendors. Day in the Life After having your favorite morning beverage and while no day is the same you can expect to: * Lead a quick team huddle every morning to review the daily tasks and provide direction to your team. * Communicate and follow up with customer requests in a timely matter * Collaborate with customer to establish recycling, reduction and reuse options for waste streams * Provide accurate reports to customer and to your management team at USE * Perform onsite service work including; but not limited to characterization, sampling, shipping and manifesting. * By utilizing your resources, find alternate vendors and treatment methods for contracted waste streams * Monitor sub-contractor services to ensure regulatory compliance * Research strategies for lowering customer and vendor costs * Cross train with other USE entities and become well versed in US Ecology services to allow for new growth opportunities for our customers. * Conduct site-specific reviews to determine financial well being * Performs other, related duties as assigned. These are duties which may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but which are within the general occupational series and responsibility level typically associated with the employee's class of work.
