In the role of Project Manager, you will plan for and ensure quality and timeliness of activities related to design, build and implementation of work product. You will participate in requirements elicitation, analysis of architecture, create and review design and contribute to activities related to estimation, staffing analysis & solutioning and risk planning. You will act as a mentor and support the project team in developing optimized high quality deliverables. Location for this position in Redwood City, CA. This position may require relocation. U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time.

Qualifications Basic

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • At least of 7 years of experience within Information Technology

  • Clear and succinct communication skills and ability to interact with data engineers as well as customers

  • Experience operating large scale critical production data systems

  • Experience leading operations teams

  • Experience working with remote teams and 24/7 ops cycles

  • Ability to establish and enforce operational standards

  • Good understanding of data and data processes; ability to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to perform data analysis, impact analysis, root cause analysis of the data quality issues and drive corrective actions

  • Ability to partner with business / reporting teams to assess the impact of data/system issues, qualify the issues with a priority

  • Ability to drive monitoring and alerts needs for the operations team and partner with development teams to address gaps

  • Ability to identify risk and escalate as needed

  • Ability to supplement hands-on operational engineering efforts when required

  • Big Data Hadoop ecosystem experience.

  • Managing data pipelines and data management on a Large scale production data system.

  • Comfortable in Unix / Linux commands and basic scripting knowledge.
