Duties & Responsibilities

Teradyne's Solution Engineering Group (SEG) Program Management Office (PMO) is hiring a Project Manager for US West region. This position is to provide project management leadership and oversight for all the projects being defined and executed for key Customers. The following are the key roles and responsibilities:

  • Manage the complex cross functional integration for a project that involves:

  • Teradyne and the customers

  • Applications engineering, hardware engineering, hardware operations, product engineering, and marketing.

  • Resources in multiple worldwide regions (US, Asia and Europe)

  • Manage overall project plans ensuring best practice and process are applied

  • Conduct project reviews for all sub-projects:

  • Ensure execution is meeting expectations and gaps are being driven to closure

  • Ensure appropriate communication is taking place at all levels in the organization and with the customer

  • Ensure cross functional & regional integration issues are getting resolved

  • Communicate and synthesize status on all active projects to key stakeholders.

  • Identify and manage issues to closure with timely escalation

  • Work with regional managers and project leads to identify and drive closure on resource & skill gaps

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required

  • Fluent in English

  • BS degree in hardware, computer, or software engineering

  • 5+ years project management experience of integrated hardware/software products/projects

  • Engineering management experience is a plus

  • Project Management Professional with current PMP certification.

  • Good organizational and communication skills including ability to communicate and foster communication between project groups.

  • Experience managing teams in multiple geographic locations.

Here's more about the job: Job Summary: Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activity in support of our account relationships; manage the furniture and relocation services by developing and refining move grids, develop furniture test fit scenarios, manage file planning and seating assignments, provide vendor coordination, and generally manage oversee the entire business relocation process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operations * Attend weekly Operations meetings to receive and review assignments * Receive, review, enter and confirm project and service requests * Manage administrative process for customer set up and establish certificates of insurance as needed * Communication * Thoroughly communicate with all parties throughout service delivery * Maintain continual interaction with crews during scope of project for quality and safety * Coordinate walkthroughs and hold planning calls to develop scope and communicate service requirements and client expectations * Work with clients to develop furniture test fit scenarios, seating assignments and file planning * Generate proposals, establish signed orders for service and obtain client specific purchase orders, tracking numbers and approvals * Coordinate with sales, field project management, operations and customers to plan and implement services * Confirm receipt of all necessary documents for project; i.e. move matrix, floor plans, vendor / branch information, scope of work and timeline, budgets * Obtain missing information; i.e. building requirements / accessibility * Review all paperwork / schedules for accuracy and performability * Interact with property management and client on site for smooth facilitation of project * Conduct project review with crew leads, plan out job progression and flow * Conduct post-project meeting for Lessons Learned * Cost Management * Document scope, timelines and pricing. * Complete on-site walkthrough and pre-move and decommission prep * Track timelines and document progress relative to established benchmarks * Document scope changes and oversee change order management process * Collect and consolidate costs and manage the close out process Job Skills Required: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications used for the project management process * High customer service orientation * Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as situations and needs change throughout the workday * Ability to multi-task and organize workflow to manage daily responsibilities, meet deadlines and prioritize work * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Excellent attention to detail and follow-through * Ability to work under deadlines and specific time frames * Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers * Ability to demonstrate initiative and to work with minimum supervision Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
