About the role:
Deliver infrastructure solutions that support Worldpay business initiatives, growth or business collaboration tools.
Infrastructure Project Managers control and drive technology change across the Worldpay technical Infrastructure environment through projects valued between £10k-£1mn.
Projects will be primarily Infrastructure and Process focused and could range between implementation of storage solutions to Desktop rollouts, Data Centre moves and process improvement.
Plan and coordinate the delivery of the infrastructure solution, liaising with technical resources, key stakeholders and the wider Worldpay business as required, ensuring that any operational benefits are realized.
Required to define the scope of the project or service; manage technical goals, risks, issues, and resources for your project team.
Maintain effective and appropriate communication with stakeholders including periodic and ad-hoc reporting.
Participate in the continual improvement of delivery processes and controls.
What you will be doing:
Plan, manage and monitor the project team in the delivery of the infrastructure solution, to ensure successful project delivery, to the quality required.
Responsibilities include estimation, work package planning & resourcing. Identify and manage Risks, Issues and Dependencies.
Produce project status reports. Agree and review plans, costs and resources with the appropriate stakeholders.
Success will be measured by the delivery of infrastructure initiatives to a defined level of quality, on time and to the expected operational standards.
Work with Technical leads and Service owners to review and support best practices.
Manage the production of key project deliverables to support the realization of forecast project benefits.
Direct and motivate the project team.
Manage Project Risk, Issues, Dependencies and Assumptions including the development of contingency plans.
What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or active pursuit of certification preferred.
Driven individual with experience of working in an environment with both Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
5+ years Infrastructure Project Management experience
Demonstrate a track record of delivering work to schedule and specification in a technical environment.
Experience of matrix management of resources.
Excellent Communications skills, written and spoken.
Able to recognize and articulate project risks and issues for others to understand.
Takes ownership and pride in delivery of high quality projects.
Builds trust, willing to express opinions in debates, buy into decisions showing commitment and be accountable.
Demonstrate an awareness of commercial and contractual issues.
Experience or understanding of ITIL Service Management principles at a basic level.
Added bonus if you have:
Experience of Financial Services industry.
Technical Infrastructure experience would be an advantage for this role.
Experience of delivering technical projects in a dynamic and progressive international environment.
Past experience of working with various technologies and 3rd Parties would be an advantage.
An understanding of the electronic payments industry would be an advantage.
Experiencing in implementing projects in a 24/7 high availability environment.
