ABB is seeking a Project Manager System Services (Drives) for its Wauwatosa, Wisconsin location. Project Manager will be responsible to ensures the completion of assigned projects on time and within budget, with a high level of customer satisfaction, in compliance with ISO standards and in accordance with company policies and procedures. This is both as an on-site and off-site project manager.
Senior professionals ( > 5 years of work experience)
Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Support sales team in preparing properly scoped proposals. Ensuring that ABB can deliver material, engineering, and costs within customer expectations.
Review sold projects with Sales Managers and customers for clarification of all technical and commercial issues and develop a plan for contract satisfaction.
Utilize SAP to enter project orders, create purchase requisitions, track part deliveries, monitor project costs, and invoicing.
Work with Field Service Coordinators from around the world to properly staff projects with the appropriate technical resources to complete the scope of work.
Interface with vendors and subcontractors to ensure the scheduled ordering, completion and arrival of parts, components, equipment, etc. that meet company quality and specification requirements.
Offer changes and additions to the contract as requested by the customer and coordinate this with the responsible sales manager.
Prepare customer submittals, order acknowledgments, design and drawing submittals for review. Obtain customers approvals.
Create complete project plan and timeline for completion of project as coordinated with the Equipment Provider and End Customer. Including coordination with other ABB BUs and contractors.
Safety leadership, coordination of process and operating standards of safety per project site. Drive communications and interface for safety leadership with end customer, site contractors, ABB BUs, sub-suppliers who will be performing work on the end customers site.
Prioritize, schedule and monitor work assignments and ensure the completion of assigned projects on time and within budget, with a high level of customer satisfaction, in compliance with ISO standards and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Coordinate with other departments and ABB units to ensure the scheduled completion of all assigned tasks, products, etc. Schedule and lead status and project meetings, and report project status monthly.
Coordinate shipping with factory and freight forwarders, by ship and/or common carriers. Initiate invoices consistent with contract language and follow up to ensure payment as scheduled.
Manage and if possible improve the profitability and cash flow of the project.
Lead or participate on cross functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of methods, processes, productivity and quality, while reducing costs.
Ensure the completion and maintenance of all project records, paperwork, documentation, etc.
Maintain technical competency and remain current in changes in the industry.
Ensure that ABB meets customer expectations and all contractual obligations.
Foster strong and effective relationships with internal and external customers.
