Summary

The Project Manager, Supply Chain will play a pivotal role in our warehouse operations for DSV Road US. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory and brokerage out of our warehouses. The Ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, logistics, and transportation within the brokerage space with the ability to optimize processes and ensure efficient operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.

  • Monitor inventory levels and complete corrective action plans when out of tolerance.

  • Conduct detailed analyses of supply chain operations to identify opportunities for improvement

  • Oversee regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with system records.

  • Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with inventory levels.

  • Prepare weekly inventory reports.

  • Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

  • Negotiate with warehousing providers to procure new locations.

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Coordinate with carriers to arrange transportation for domestic shipments.

  • Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions.

  • Track shipments and provide regular updates to customers on delivery status.

  • Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation.

  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels.

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and warehouse activities.

  • Generate reports on inventory status, shipping activity, and warehouse performance.

  • Other duties and project work as assigned by manager.

MInimum Required Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • 3-5 years of previous experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and/or domestic truck brokering.

  • Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations

  • Proven experience in warehouse management and inventory control.

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Language Skills

  • English (reading, writing, verbal)

Computer Skills

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others)

  • Familiarity with inventory management software and systems

  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Software (TMS)

Other Skills

  • Team player with ability to work amongst diverse, cross-functional teams and all levels of management.

  • Capability to work under time and quota pressures.

  • Presentation skillset and ability to lead virtual online meetings and customer engagements.

  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrates commitment and results-orientation, strives to maximize account performance, and achieve growth targets.

  • Availability to travel as needed to support business needs.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping

Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for a warehouse environment with exposure to changing warehouse temperatures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $70,500 - $105,500 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
