Chief Administrative Office (Consumer Banking & Investments)

The Chief Administrative Office (CAO) supports the Consumer Bank's 5,600+ branches and is comprised of Branch Systems Support, Branch Innovations, Branch Real Estate, ATM Services, Operations and Administration, KYC/AML, and First Line of Defense. The First Line of Defense works with each team to ensure strong operations and controls within the branch environment. Given the importance of these mandates, this team is highly visible and is seeking top performers who can engage quickly and deliver meaningful impact in a fast-paced environment.


Seeking a strong performer with project manager experience to join the CAO First Line of Defense Wealth Management team. This individual will join the CWM Procedures Management Team and be a key person for improving our Knowledge Management processes, SharePoint processes as well as relationship management with our internal customers. Will also include leading procedure writing and update projects. This person will build strong partnerships with Communications team, Field Leaders, Policy and Procedures Control partners and First Line of Defense peers to ensure sure we are being proactive with changes in how those groups review processes and procedures. This role requires flexibility and comfort with ambiguity given the rapid pace of change and various constituencies supported.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive content and help with messaging for operational communications (e.g., Ops Highlights) going to the 5,600 branches

  • Coordinate/streamline First Line of Defense communications going to Regional and Market Directors

  • Enhance operations and improve banker knowledge within the branches by gathering Field input through focus groups and utilizing subject matter expertise

  • Partner with Process and Procedures, subject matter experts, First Line of Defense peers, Controls, Project Managers and others to ensure operational changes are simple and easy to understand and easy to execute

  • Manage medium and large sized projects with goal to simplify operations within the branch while maintaining focus on controls

  • Support cross functional teams accountable for the end-to-end evaluation of branch processes ensuring control effectiveness through issue identification and resolution

  • Work with business leadership in defining, prioritizing and achieving strategic objectives, and ensuring projects meet the approved business requirements

  • Establish strong working relationships with sponsors, business stakeholders, Control partners, Technology, Operations, and subject matter experts

  • Escalate issues timely

  • Act as a Thought Leader to drive problem solving and identify business solutions


  • BA/BS degree required (advanced degrees, other certification a plus)

  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross functional projects and initiatives

  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence change and communicate with diverse stakeholders

  • Excellent relationship and communication skills, highly collaborative - can build rapport and credibility

  • Strong presentation and writing skills. SharePoint and/or Moxie experience a plus

  • Proficient with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications

  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross functional projects and initiatives

  • Self-motivated individual that demonstrates initiative with proven flexibility, adaptability, and reliability

  • Highly organized and detail oriented with a structured/analytical approach to problem solving

  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and change in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to create executive summaries using Microsoft suite of products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint/Pitch Pro)

  • Proven track record of delivering results on major projects/programs

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
