Job Title: Project Manager

Slalom Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong consulting background to join its diverse team. Successful candidates should demonstrate leadership and flexibility, as well as the ability to build rapport with clients, team members, managers, and senior executives. In this role, you will deftly apply skills and methodology to lead others, proactively mitigate risks, resolve issues, and advance projects when appropriate.

Slalom's Project Managers work across multiple disciplines and industries, and are able to understand their clients' businesses and build credibility quickly. Typical project areas include: leading process or system improvements; custom and packaged system development and implementation; vendor selection; product definition, development, and launch; custom development; and web enablement.


  • Understand the client's business to design effective processes, organizations, and change and learning programs to drive real business benefits

  • Create and execute improvement plans adapted to the client environment

  • Mentor clients, work on projects independently, participate as a team member, or lead teams of less experienced consultants and/or clients to successful project delivery

  • Work in multiple disciplines across industries and build client knowledge and credibility quickly (projects vary in length, lasting anywhere from a few weeks to several months)

  • Design and conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results, and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner

  • Support the execution of plans by employee-facing managers and business leaders

  • Strong leadership skills, including a history of increasing leadership responsibility and career growth in process improvement

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with audiences of all levels

  • Ability to proactively handle risk and influence others

  • Ability to develop a change leadership strategy based on situational awareness of changes and the groups impacted

  • Ability to identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns


  • 5+ years of experience leading projects in a consulting environment; experience leading projects consisting of 5 or more people, or projects over 10,000 man-hours or $500,00 in budget

  • Training in a formal process, organization, change and/or learning improvement methodology at an enterprise-level client or employer

  • Highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project

  • A history of mentoring and or teaching others to use process, organization, change, and/or learning improvement methodologies

  • Create and run measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of individual changes

  • Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions

  • Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into overall project plans

  • Work with communication, training, HR, and OD specialists in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support project implementation

  • Adaptable self-starter who is skilled at creating structure in ambiguous environments

  • Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills; rigorous approach to project management to deliver enterprise-level projects

We are looking for looking for a Project Manager (PM) to manage internal and external teams to oversee the successful design and build-outs of properties and projects. This person will work with interior designers, architects, operations leads, tech leads, product designers, and contractors to ensure that the projects are delivered on time and on budget. The PM will be responsible for the project from the moment the space has been identified through the opening to the handoff to the Operations team. This person should be able to juggle multiple projects in various stages simultaneously and be able to communicate cross-functionally across different teams. Our ideal candidate has experience at various stages of development including but not limited to due diligence, bidding, contract management, people management, etc. We're looking for someone who has experience both working with early-stage startups and smaller companies scaling rapidly, as well as established larger companies. At Domio You Will: * Overall quality, budget, and schedule for project * Full process oversight of project team * Manage multiple projects at a time and prioritize workload within the group to ensure that project timelines are met * Coordinate closely with stakeholders to align priorities across the company * Ensure project team is adequately resourced to achieve project goals * Inspire project team to achieve goals * See projects through from beginning to end * Serve as primary point of contact for all extended and external project team members * Keep track of potential impacts to project budget, schedule, and quality * Substantial involvement during Due Diligence and Layout to understand lease terms, develop estimates and initial budget, and secure necessary approvals * Substantial involvement during Documentation and Pre-construction/Bidding to secure access agreements, finalize budget, award contracts, and release construction * Substantial involvement during Construction, Staging, and Closeout to ensure construction completion and finalize invoicing * Generate and continuously maintain reporting data for respective projects, reporting to upper management as necessary * Work across the different teams to roll out new initiatives and meeting targets * Must be willing and able to travel to oversee the projects at the various stages (30-50% travel) Who You Are: * 5+ years of experience of project management of construction projects * Be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment * Experience in retail, commercial , or residential construction is preferable * Experience reading construction documents * Passionate about development and wanting to help grow the community * Love to think outside the box and explore new ways to execute projects * Passionate about collaborating and putting out the absolute best work * Great at managing productivity * Cross-functional communicator: must understand the daily responsibilities and work styles of each team member * Knowledge of industry standard project management software (e.g. Basecamp, Airtable, Trello commercial , or residential , etc.) * Comfortable with tech and data * Preferably interested in design and has a creative eye Our Perks: * Competitive salary * Medical, dental, vision, life insurance and more * 401(k) * Unlimited vacation and flexible work-from-home policy * Travel discount when booking Domio properties * Learning & education budget, free books, and classes * Fitness stipend * Catered lunches every Friday * Team bonding and offsite events * Dog-friendly office Domio is an equal opportunity employer!
