Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager (PM) to join our team on a NIST Construction Program in Gaithersburg, MD. The PM will oversee the administration of our contracts and coordinate activities across various construction phases, ensuring seamless project delivery. This role demands a strong background in general construction and mechanical/electrical systems, as well as a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and concurrent project phases.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison between our firm and the client's Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer's Representative (CO, COR).

• Manage staffing resources to align with project schedules and workflow, ensuring optimal service delivery.

• Address performance issues promptly and effectively, as indicated by the client's CO, COR.

• Provides business, technical, and personnel management across a major single project or multiple projects involving multi-disciplinary and diverse functional activities.

• Provide advanced technical know-how and expertise on projects of high complexity and/or advanced state-of-the-art.

• Coordinate technical development and/or assist in providing technical direction to the scope of projects; provide technical expertise on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering, and preparation of contracts for construction.

• Provide supervision to ensure that the technical, administrative, labor, and schedule targets are met in accordance with applicable professional standards, technical control procedures, and company procedures.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience managing engineering projects, including substantial experience in laboratory or healthcare construction.

• Proven track record in overseeing projects of varying sizes and complexity.

• Ability to provide technical expertise throughout all project phases, from conceptual engineering to construction contract preparation.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or Bachelor of Architecture from an ABET-accredited university or college.
