ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • On behalf of the client, monitor the status of DoD and VA health IT programs and projects, including those found at joint DoD/VA healthcare sites.

  • Monitor risk, develop schedules, conduct customer and stakeholder analyses, and monitor project status.

  • Serve as a practitioner with multiple areas of expertise that spans across management consulting pillars and other functional communities with a focus on project management and scheduling.

  • Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas, work on unusually complex problems, and provide solutions that are highly creative, and act as leader on large programs and projects that affect the organizations long-term goals and objectives.

  • Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.

  • Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.

  • Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.

  • Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).

  • Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.

  • Interview campus and/or experienced candidates

  • Project Management Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.

  • U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.

  • Travel may be required.

  • Coach and mentor junior staff members.

  • Ability to work overtime required on occasion.

  • Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.

  • Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.

VIEW JOBS 10/23/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-21T00:00 <a name="_GoBack"></a>SBD is seeking an <strong>Agile Project Manager</strong> to lead a team of application development professionals responsible for the modernization of two major web applications for our federal financial customer located in Alexandria, VA.  The team will be responsible for removing the applications’ dependency on Microsoft Silverlight, migrating it to a more current environment.  The team will be responsible for ensuring the web applications are fully compatible in multiple web browsers and browser versions, including Microsoft Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Opera and eliminate the dependence on a plugin. The goal of this project is to provide a more user-friendly interface and to enhance the user experience by developing a user-driven product and allow for flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.<br /> <br /> <strong>Responsibilities: </strong> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Define, plan, and implement the deliverables and tasks required for successful implementations, including resource determinations, schedules, and project implementation plans.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Share best practices and product knowledge with peers and novice team members.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Respond to customer inquiries via e-mail, telephone, and in-person in a timely and professional manner.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Provide user training via the Web or on-site regarding the effective use of the software and best practices.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Work closely with the development and technical support to resolve technical product issues, and test new features, produce and maintain documentation, and report bugs.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Utilize a standard project management methodology to guide all projects in a consistent, organized, and reliable manner.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">The Project Manager will be point of contact (POC) for communicating issues, concerns, or problems that arise for specific projects with the task order. </li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">The Project Manager shall have decision authority, the ability to direct Contractor staff, and will serve as the SBD’s representative responsible for resolving all issues, concerns, or problems within the purview of the project within the task. </li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">The Project Manager shall readily respond to customer questions, concerns, and comments about the project with their responsibility. </li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Must have and maintain a minimum of Legal Permanent Resident Status.  Non-U.S. citizen applicants with Legal Permanent Resident status must have resided in the United States for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Knowledge and experience in web interface technology refresh, specifically in removing Silverlight from web applications and in selecting solutions that will enhance the usability of the systems.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Knowledge and experience working with Windows 2016 Servers, IIS, and WPF/WCF; and SQL 2014.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Knowledge and experience working with .NET 4.0; ASP.NET; C#; MSMQ; Silverlight 5.0; SQL Server 2014; WCF Service; Windows Services.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Knowledge of existing forms development tools available in the market that can work to better serve the regulatory reporting needs of our customer.</li> <li style="padding: 0;
