Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time PROJECT MANAGER to manage asset management operations on a comprehensive roadway maintenance project(s) in the Denver, Colorado Metropolitan area. This position requires performing a wide range of responsibilities on new and existing asset maintenance and roadway services AM/O&M contracts related to planning work, scheduling/managing crews, roadway repair analysis, preparing project report submissions, interfacing with government Clients, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. It is preferred, but not required to have a technical background in this type of business. The ideal candidate must have proven experience as a leader working in an ever-changing environment, meticulous organizational skills, adaptive and analytical problem-solving capabilities, and abilities to effectively create functional teams. The position requires the candidate to work in a unique environment both in the office, out on the project site (among field crews), and within professionally organized meetings. Salary: $120,000 - $165,000 depending on expereince, certifications, licenses, and industry knowledge.

Work Schedule: Full time. Must be willing to work flexible schedules to meet project production requirements and travel for company meetings and training. 10% travel required for training and meetings.
Responsibilities:
Lead contract operations on roadway maintenance, repair, and construction operations
Manage project office and field operations
Coordinate financial planning and project budget projections that will assist senior managers
Tracking/reporting maintenance contract performance relative to plan, contract, and company targets
Work with Regional/Project Managers to develop short-term and long-term project maintenance repair plans
Perform analyses to improve field prosecution, crew efficiency and maximize operational safety
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for presentation to Client and Corporate operations centers
Building, training, and developing the in-house technical workforce staff
Daily client and owner communication, including attendance and presentations at coordination and review meetings
Subcontractor procurement and oversite
Responsibility for building the reputation of Jorgensen in the local marketplace as a leader in the maintenance field
Required Experience
Minimum 10 years experience with project management, team leadership, or direct client-facing responsibilities in the Highway Maintenance and/or Highway Construction Industry
Highly efficient organizational skills in a multi-faceted long-term project environment
Ability to rapidly develop a competent understanding of technical roadway maintenance specifications
Ability to lead, direct, and manage field maintenance crews and office staff
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
Effective communicator (verbal & written) at all professional levels
Ability to manage project field emergencies 24/7
Ability to analyze field accomplishment data and prepare reports, statements and projections
Working knowledge of short- and long-term contract budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and revenue analysis
Ability to develop and present various types of technical and operational information within the context of a meeting
Preferred Experience
Experience with projects using Colorado DOT standard specifications
Management systems knowledge such as PMS, MIS, a-connect, and GIS
Experience with Microsoft office products
Engineering/field operations professional experience
Military/Veteran leadership experience
Bachelors Degree: engineering, construction project management or related
Competent understanding of roadway maintenance and repair specifications
Technical experience with earthworks, landscaping, road construction, bridge maintenance, stormwater drainage maintenance
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma with additional courses focused on highway construction or maintenance plus 15 years experience in highway maintenance at Supervisory Level or above.
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e., criminal record, driving record, and controlled substance/drug testing)
Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate a message in a clear and precise way
Ability to manage conflict resolution in a professional manner
Skilled in establishing priorities and managing time-dependent heavy workload
Ability to perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in the order to meet changing job conditions
Competency of Microsoft Office software
Knowledge of administrative activities
Knowledge of phone and messaging systems
Read and understand manuals, plans, specifications, write documents following prescribed formats
Understand multi-step written and oral instructions
Self-starter who can work independently
Dependable and highly organized with business and maturity, discretion, enthusiasm, and positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
BS in Civil, Mechanical, or other engineering disciplines with a minimum of 10 years experience in highway maintenance in the public or private sector.
Knowledge of OSHA and other agency safety standards and practices as applied to highway maintenance operations and work activities.
Knowledge of heavy equipment capabilities and use as applied to highway maintenance or construction activities.
Company will conduct background check, MVR, and Controlled Substance testing prior to hire.
