PSI Pax is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to support our government customer in Baltimore County, MD.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Project Manager is assigned the management of specific project work.
Performs daytoday management of the project, identifies issues and risks and recommends possible issue and risk mitigation strategies associated with the project.
Responsible for ensuring that work performed is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and on budget.
Identifies critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria.
Provides solutions to improve efficiency (e.g., reduce costs while maintaining or improving
Monitors issues and provides resolutions for uptodate status reports.
Demonstrates excellent writing and oral communications skills.
Minimum seven (7) years successful Project Management experience managing large, high profile and sensitive projects
Previous experience managing software and/or hardware implementation and upgrade projects using
Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies
Experience creating and managing project documentation as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Experience in creating and managing project deliverables and documents (SDLC and PMI)
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, WORD)
Exceptional organization and coordination skills
Ability to work five days per week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Exceptional oral and written communications skills
Possess a Microsoft Project Professional Certification
Experience defining, creating, and implementing Project Management Processes
Experience with Executive level presentations and communications
Experience managing projects using Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint
Experience gathering and documenting requirements
Experience facilitating the completion of customer deliverables
Previous experience working in a Government entity (Federal, State or Local)
Extensive customer service relationship management experience
Experience in managing high profile programs for enterprise solutions
Experience managing vendor conflicts and legal resolution
Experience managing projects associated with financial systems
