My direct client is looking for a Project Coordinator / Project Manager for a long term contract postion located in the downtown Chicago area.

MUST BE LOCAL TO THE CHICAGO AREA FOR CONSIDERATION

Job Responsibilities

Solid high level project coordination / project management
Highly reliable with solid time management skills
Excellent communicator
strong ability to follow-up, time management, coordinate meetings and take meeting minutes, powerpoint knowledge, strong communicator
nice to have: sharepoint
Ability to support and maintain project plans in Microsoft project, manage issue/risk/decision, action logs, prepare status reports, clearly articulate both business and IT complex issues in meeting minutes
Experience working in enterprise environment with high level projects

Must HAVE
Excellent skills in communicating status
Excellent skills in Excel
PowerPoint
Highly reliable and able to work effectively with little direction
Enterprise level projects

The Project Manager will: * Have responsibility for leading IT projects in a mergers & acquisitions environment * Lead projects integrating new acquisitions into existing insurance brokerage management systems. * Work with large data sets, facilitate date integrations, data mapping * Collect & document requirements, collaborate with stakeholders * Perform process analysis, process design, process improvement, and standardization * Plan and organize change management activities * Manage project plans, budgets, team resources, and key stakeholder communications * Build rapport and trust with business users and stakeholders * Ensure standardized PMO methodology is utilized and enforced for all projects Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in relevant field & more than 5 years' experience in IT project management, else more than 10 years' strong experience in IT project management * Proficiency in disseminating and organizing ambiguous information into knowledge base documentation * Experienced in facilitating issue remediation and coordinating resources * Familiar with software system implementation projects and leading workshops to analyze workflows * Experience in analyzing, streamlining, & optimizing processes in a PMO environment * Comfortable working with large data sets and database driven systems * Experience with Agile & Waterfall methodologies * Demonstrated ability to manage IT application projects from inception to successful completion * Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and business partners * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a client-facing role LRS is an equal opportunity employer.
