As the Project Manager, you will oversee various components of the Professional Learning Center Planning Project including coordinating meetings; survey design, implementation, and data analysis; ongoing communication with project partners and key stakeholders; researching models of early childhood professional development across the country; and incorporating overall feedback and evaluation into the draft structure for the Professional Learning Center. You will provide overall project management to the multi-organization team while executing and maintaining our core values and service standards in support of the Education Department's and the Aquarium's missions and visions.
You will operate under minimal supervision and report to a director-level member of the team. A Bachelor's degree is required and five years of experience in administrative or project support positions is preferred; however, quality of experience will rate more highly than the quantity of years worked.The following characteristics are essential in succeeding in this position: self-starter, confident problem-solver and critical thinker, ability to work independently and collaboratively, highly professional, detail-oriented and organized, clear and effective communicator.
Substantial and high-level experience in the following areas required:
Developing and maintaining project timelines for tasks supporting project work and working with project staff to ensure that deadlines are met
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including leading focus groups and interviewing subjects
Compiling and analyzing data in Excel using its functionality to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting
Using advanced features in Word, including track changes, style sheets, and merge documents
Coordinating and managing multiple projects and/or events effectively
Coordinating with various departments
Working efficiently with a variety of software, including the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, and other productivity enhancing tools
