Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Project Manager III is responsible for analyzing complex business operations, recommending solutions to align individual business functions with organizational goals, program management, contract administration, and oversight necessary to manage and deliver all performance requirements including management of cost, scope, schedule, and quality in the delivery process. This position requires thorough understanding of the structure, policies, and operations of an organization, and recommends solutions to improve general business processes and planning. This position can collaborate with one or more business units or functions.

  • Interface with both internal and external teams (Government and Vendor) to effectively manage, track, and report on all activities under assigned projects
  • Manages risks and issues impacting projects and activities
  • Ensure and control quality, completeness, and timeliness of delivery across all project deliverables and services
  • Assists in business process and systems analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts, and in translating business process needs into technical requirements
  • Assists in management of implementation, operations, maintenance, and enhancements of project portfolio dashboard product; serves as the administrator of the product, responding to client user needs
  • Conducts testing of release components of the product and update necessary documentation including user manuals
  • Analyzes portfolio and project data ensuring quality data and to create relevant reports and dashboards
  • Works with various customized client applications

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business or an IT-related field
  • PMP Certification
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience working on Federal contracts
  • Three (3) or more years of Project/Program Management experience in an IT field, including experience managing the development and implementation of software products
  • Experience setting up a Program Management Office (PMO)
  • Experience managing contracts of $5M or greater
  • Experience establishing and maintaining client relationships
  • Experience managing teams of ten (10) or more direct reports
  • Experience working with various Project Managers and technical SMEs
  • Experience understanding and communicating technical and non-technical requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products (Project, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of the organization
  • Experience with meeting/video conferencing tools (Microsoft Teams, WebEx, etc.)

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Agile Certifications (Scrum, SAFe, ACP, ICAgile, etc.)
