Job Title:  Project Manager
Department:  Engineering
Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000Summary of Position
A Project Manager is a leadership position in the management of hardware and software development pertaining to Automated Test Equipment (ATE).  As a Project Manager, you shall be responsible for the management, implementation, and delivery of ATE related projects for use by the USAF to test avionics hardware.  As a small business, this position requires an individual eager take on increasing responsibilities.  Travel:
  • Up to 10%
Essential Job Requirements:
  • Manage development projects related to Automated Test Stations, Test Program Set (TPS) development, and mechanical/electronic component studies.
    • Create schedules, cost estimates, and planning presentations.
    • Track projects using Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI) to ensure they are on schedule and under budget. 
    • Ability to create/present slide presentations for Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and Acceptance Testing.
    • Excellent critical thinking and writing skills to develop plans and other documentation for component studies, engine test, avionics hardware testing, and manufacturing.
    • Create and approve Purchase Orders, perform parts entry, and track receiving of components for project development or inventory.
  • Familiarity with development processes.
    • Familiar with AS9100 or CMMI.
    • Work with team of engineers to peer review designs and documentation prior to release to ensure exceptional quality.
    • Ensure contract requirements are being satisfied and milestone delivery dates are being met.
  • Interface with customers.
    • Must possess excellent communication and technical writing skills.
    • Write proposals.  Create and present status reports to customer.
Required Experience:
  • 2 – 5 Years of Experience in Project Management
Education Required:
  • Master’s in Business Administration with an undergraduate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering preferred.
  • Certifications:  PMP preferred, but not required due to experience.
Additional Highly Desired Skills:
  • Government Acquisition experience.
  • Microsoft Project and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements:  Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Security Clearance Required:
None required but must possess ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
