OMNIGON is seeking an experienced Project Manager who can lead teams of engineers, designers, and architects to deliver custom solutions for our clientsleaders in the sports, media, and entertainment industries.

This position requires excellent organizational, collaboration, and communication skills and has a requirement to travel up to 20% of the time.

This position reports to the Director, Business Strategy and Operations and may based out of Atlanta, Charlotte, New York or Jacksonville.


  • Works with individuals within the organization, client, and third party organizations to plan, schedule and ensure execution of project / program activities

  • Manages to completion development, quality and production release activities

  • Facilitates project related meetings for relevant working groups or programs. Tracks the action items generated and reports back to the larger group with notes and details

  • Conducts the estimate process efficiently in partnership with the Product Management team using a shared WBS and assumptions

  • Coordinates with clients when problems or conflicts occur that might impact the timely completion of work

  • Provides transparent and clear reporting to the client, leadership, and other relevant parties on status, progress, budget, projections, and results

  • Identifies issues and problems promptly, and manages them to resolution, elevating those that require leadership attention

  • Assures team is properly assigned to the project

  • Controls resource allocation based on scope and budget

  • Manages all risks and blockers to resolution

  • Runs scrums / team standups

  • Conducts retrospectives

  • Evaluates results and performance via project health data, and recommends changes to projects, approaches, processes, documents, and other areas to increase effectiveness.

  • Assists, supports, resources to identifies difficulties, prioritize tasks, or define goals

  • Overcomes obstacles to achieve results


  • 3+ years delivering projects that include responsive web systems and mobile applications

  • Experience managing engagements ranging from $300,000-$800,000, and from 5-15 team members

  • Well-versed in project management methodologies and frameworks

  • PMP (or equivalent) certification

  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical team members or stakeholders

  • A deep understanding of digital technologies used to develop real-time web sites and mobile applications, including Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, XML and JSON file transforms and handling

  • Experience working with the engineering team to provides estimates for projects and prepares appropriate supporting justifications/ assumptions, explaining relationship to budget, scope, timelines/ milestones, and success criteria

  • Experience with technologies used by OMNIGON for the delivery of projects:

  • Content Management Systems, preferably Adobe AEM

  • Digital Asset Management Systems

  • Video Content Management Systems

  • Web Analytics

  • Advertising Platforms

  • Push Notification Systems (UrbanAirship, Braze, Fabric)

  • Knowledge of, and a passion for, sport, media and entertainment

  • Working knowledge of Confluence and the flow of projects in Jira

  • Preferred: A background or interest in golf

You will be expected to manage high-complexity projects involving large volumes of assets and information, and must be proactive, quick thinking, a problem solver and ultra-organized, ensuring account satisfaction and service excellence. In this role you will be expected to grow and nurture relationships with senior-level clientele across numerous functional areas, including but not limited to, Visual Merchandising, Marketing and Merchandising. The Project Manager will project manage the day-to-day execution and optimization of Creative Services projects - assessing marketing needs, determining goals and coordinating projects. He/she must maintain knowledge of visual merchandising goals and brand standards focused on POP materials. This includes resolving and escalating issues and barriers. The Project Manager works closely with the designers, copywriters, traffic managers and production staff to ensure all deadlines are met on time. Responsibilities Work is typically performed under no supervision, with only guidance about overall goals and objectives. Usually receive minimal to no guidance about how to complete work objectives. Must be able to define work based on evaluation of short term and long term goals of the department. Able to independently evaluate processes, identify areas of improvement, and incorporate in to overall work objectives. * Act as primary Creative Services point-of-contact for content collection and project management for Visual Merchandising teams. * Maintain exceptional level of attention to detail, while managing multiple large and complex projects simultaneously * Act as a strategic counterpart to senior-level clientele, performing above and beyond tactical project responsibilities * Identify areas of incremental revenue growth within the account and bring in the necessary account and platform leaders as needed * Project scope will often include environmental or experiential design elements expanding beyond core functional POP elements * Demonstrate subject matter expertise in omni-channel retail, interconnecting the physical and digital online shopping experiences through impactful messaging and innovative in-store solutions * Maintain detailed knowledge of existing in-bay/showroom POP materials for primary and secondary assigned departments. * Manages and owns POP materials content within the respective categories from concept through final design * Maintain positive and supportive working relationships with key client contacts, Merchants, Vendors, and Print Production resources. * Review POPs to ensure the Visual Merchandising Standards are met while educating Merchants and Vendors on value of standards. * Attend line kickoff meetings; to ensure high-quality content (aided by copywriters) * Provide competitive research information as necessary to assist in project development. * Manage POP in-bay/showroom materials for the Sign Governance Council as needed. * Prepare POP materials for creative review, ensuring appropriate approvals. * Manage soft-proofing routing to ensure proper approvals and reviews. * Provide information necessary to ensure POP materials projects to completion, successfully guiding them through approvals and ensuring delivery that is on time and within budget. * Ensure POP materials are complete prior to approval routing. * Track actual expenses against quotes and budget, identifying budgetary issues proactively.
