General Purpose of the Position:
Switch is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our Hyperscale Supply Chain team. The Project Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and day-to-day execution of hyperscale data center capital expenditures for Switchs Design Engineering and Construction teams. This role will have the responsibility for electrical and mechanical equipment from purchase through delivery, startup, commissioning, and turnover to Operations, ensuring efficient procurement, logistics, and vendor management to support on-time and within-budget project delivery. The Project Manager implements and manages all the Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment supply chain activities and procedures including, but not limited to, purchasing and procurement, logistics, quality, inventory control, rate setting, and distribution of OFCI. The Project Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the program to manage major equipment for current projects and help develop a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program to optimize capital utilization for major hyperscale projects. The Project Manager will evaluate the capital equipment supply chain performance against projected costs and timelines and be responsible for coordinating supply chain activities across Switchs hyperscale program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Own all supply chain and procurement functions, to include, but not be limited to; demand planning, sourcing, procurement, vendor selection, logistics, forecasting, negotiating, inventory and vendor management
Monitor and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure adherence to schedule and budget constraints
Proactively identify and address any issues or risks that may impact project execution
Forecast issues in advance to prevent potential impacts, both internally and externally, to drive business decisions
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to supply chain and measure actual performance against these KPIs
Manages supplier base; evaluates performance of suppliers on various key performance indicators
Qualify and lead selection of suppliers to deliver equipment and services to the data center construction portfolio; ensure periodic business reviews are conducted with vendors to evaluate and iteratively improve supply chain performance
Provide first level of escalation support to capital project delivery teams to address vendor or overall supply chain performance issues (e.g., change orders, late deliveries, disputes, purchase order accuracy, invoice resolution, etc.) with suppliers; investigates, responds and brings closure to suppliers, general contractors, or other internal Switch stakeholders
Prepare and present regular progress reports, status updates, and KPI metrics to senior management and stakeholders
Communicate effectively to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
Work closely with Design Engineering, Construction and Operations groups to communicate extending lead times and obsolescence of components within supply chain activities
Provide structure and lead Internal data center team(s) to renegotiate, extend options, renew, and discontinue supplier framework agreements as required and issue equipment orders under those framework agreements

Must demonstrate a working knowledge in best practice procurement processes for mechanical, electrical and data center specific equipment and support services, industry expertise negotiating purchase order terms, conditions, and pricing, cost reductions, supplier qualification processes, vendor selection and account development, logistics, and sourcing
Superior communication and analytical skills to prepare and present product demand forecasts and inventory management to best meet company strategic plan and roadmaps
Proven facilitation skills between supplier and general contractors
Able to work in a team environment
Even-tempered and able to work through conflict with others
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, ERP systems, data analytics platforms)
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment

Computer Equipment and Software:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for document management, data analysis, and reporting
Familiarity with project management software and ERP systems is a plus

Minimum of seven years of procurement and supply chain management required, preferably in a product/category, and program management level
Global or multi-national program and vendor management experience preferred
Experience working with electrical and/or mechanical system suppliers, with additional experience with working with general contractors and subcontractors
