The Project Manager will partner with business and technical teams to deliver strategic projects that provide significant value to the company. This position will be responsible for coordinating and tracking the full lifecycle delivery of projects, including project chartering, planning, requirements, design, build, test, deployment and support transition. This individual will need a passion for achieving results while cultivating a strong team approach. This position requires the ability to effectively manage cross-functional weak matrix teams, and advising management on complex project details.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate development of Project Charters to clearly define business value objectives along with project scope, timeline, and resources

  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor budgets, and maintain issue and risk logs

  • Provide weekly status reporting to management and project stakeholders

  • Provide direct vendor direction and oversight

  • Build resource plans and work with Business Manager's for assignments and allocations

  • Coordinate with cross discipline team members to make sure that all tasks are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules

  • Facilitate and manage issue and risk identification and corrective action plans

  • Work with other Project Managers in the organization to identify project dependencies & relationships, resource allocation challenges, and organizational change management needs.

  • Work as independent lead on multiple large and complex projects

  • Contribute and advocate business maturity by developing templates and processes and/or providing training to other company resources

  • Use professional judgement to make critical business decisions impacting success of project

  • The above duties will be performed with self-direction, independent judgment and minimal supervision

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's or high level degree in Business Management, IT, or related field

  • 5-10 years Project Management and/or Business Analysis experience

  • Certification in Project Management or Business Analysis preferred

  • Applied knowledge of package implementations, software development life cycle, and agile delivery methodology

  • Strong presentation, organizational, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling programs

  • Ability to prioritize, work creatively, and perform tasks in solving problems in time-critical situations

  • Ability to effectively lead and manage project team and stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently on multiple medium and large size projects
