Project Manager

NW Employer Solutions is hiring a Project Manager on behalf of O'Neill Construction Group located in Portland, Oregon. Are you an experienced professional in the construction industry looking to lead impactful projects in a dynamic environment?

O'Neill Construction Group is seeking a Project Manager to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is not only skilled in managing complex projects but also passionate about client relationships and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: Business Development/Client and Architect Management : Manager client relations and actively participate in business development efforts. Foster and manage strong relationships with clients and design teams.

Facilitate communication, ensure client retention strategies, and keep all stakeholders informed of major scope changes. Contract Management and Administration, Risk Management : Manage the risk of each project ensuring compliance with the prime contract, subcontracts, and supply agreements. Oversee contract compliance, manage project risk, and ensure subcontractor requirements and insurance policies are met before project commencement.

Financial Oversight : Manage all financial aspects of the project. Monitor project budgets, track costs, maintain positive cash flow, and prepare accurate cost forecasts. Keep clients updated on cost impacts from any changes in scope.

Project Performance : Lead projects to success by managing budget, quality, schedule, and safety. Conduct site visits, attend safety meetings, and collaborate with superintendents to maintain timelines and resolve issues. Team Leadership : Mentor and develop team members, promote knowledge sharing, and uphold company policies for an inclusive and supportive work environment.

What We’re Looking For: Experience : Minimum of 5 years’ in the construction industry, with previous superintendent experience preferred. Must have in-depth knowledge of wood frame and concrete multi-family and commercial construction.

Education : Four-year degree in building science, construction management, or engineering preferred, or equivalent experience. Skills : • Strong communication (verbal and written) • Solid financial management abilities • Comprehensive understanding of contracts and construction regulations • Proficient with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project) • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving Why O'Neill Construction Group? Salary Range : $74,880 - $99,840 (based on experience) Benefits : Health insurance, 401k/profit sharing, paid holidays, and paid time off per the employee handbook. Schedule: Full-Time : 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with substantial overtime. In-Person : Jobsite office or O’Neill office.
