The Project Manager leads, develops, and implements various projects to improve the health and well-being of the NEMS community. The Project Manager will need to communicate with team members and Executives and make decisions and monitor the progress of projects to keep them on schedule. Project focus areas may include clinic operations workflow improvement, patient outreach initiatives, and grant-funded programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of projects/programs at NEMS from inception to completion.

  • Develop project scopes and objectives, detailed project plans for tracking progress, and methods for measuring project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.

  • Strategically create project plans and timelines and can break down a project into feasible steps.

  • Monitor all moving parts of a project/program keeping them synchronized and moving forward.

  • Drive project momentum by facilitating decision-making among key stakeholders and providing project updates.

  • Measure project/program performance using appropriate systems, data, tools and techniques.

  • Ability to negotiate and discuss resource allocation across all levels of the organization.

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget, and comply with internal policies and procedures, grants, and/or certifications.

  • Develop and execute risk mitigation and sustainability plans for projects.

  • Understand larger business contexts and apply these insights to independently identify and resolve project issues.

  • Drive data-driven decision-making by assessing progress and effectiveness of projects using data analysis.

  • Assign tasks to Project Coordinator and ensure they are completed on time and accurately.

  • Perform other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Public Health, or other relevant degree required

  • Master's degree preferred

  • 3+ years project management experience

  • Familiarity with FQHCs and healthcare is preferred

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and analytical skills

  • Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential matters

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, able to build relationships and work with all levels of staff, including C-Suite

  • Investigative and able to thrive in a dynamic, problem-solving environment

  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work

  • Flexibility to shift focus and handle urgent tasks

  • Experience with project management tools

  • Team Oriented

LANGUAGE:

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

  • The ability to speak a second language is an asset.

STATUS:

This is an FLSA exempt position.

This is not an OSHA high-risk position.
