We are seeking a talented and passionate hands on Project Manager who has a deep understanding of both technology and product delivery. You must be results oriented, diligent and precise and be able to communicate and collaborate effectively to reach consensus. You need to be a smart, motivated team player who can bring certainty to the product delivery process. The role will require liaising with key stakeholders which will include working with business users, product development team, architects, and other business functions as necessary.
Determine milestones- with input from Product Owner and Dev Lead
Create project plan
Prepares status reports
Ensures required documents are created
Represents project in meetings
Ensures team remains on plan and within approved scope
Removes blockers from team
Plans and often leads meetings
Keeps track of project progress
Main internal contact for project information
Ensure project is properly resourced throughout- includes keeping track of vacations/company holidays and build into plans/schedule
Oversees progress through work items
Ensures time is properly tracked
Coordinates with other teams and/or outside vendors
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Create and maintain project documentation
Maintains Jira and confluence sites
Great problem-solving skills, and the ability and confidence to hack their way out of tight corners
Participate as a member of a highly agile, tight knit, and deeply technical development team dedicated to high velocity, high quality, and solution elegance
Strong organisational skills and ability to successfully manage multiple tasks
Excellent written skills are essential for report writing and proof reading
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills, client service oriented and resilient
Project planning including developing work plans; creating resource plans; managing day-to-day project issues and drive to resolution
Ensuring proper scope management; establishing and maintaining communication to key stakeholders; work effectively across organizational boundaries (cultural and geographical)
3+ years of experience as a technical project manager
Experience with using JIRA for requirements, issue and project tracking
Hands on experience working in an iterative and dynamic software development environment
Ability to be self-aware and to assess the current policies and procedures with an eye on cross-departmental productivity and transparency
Experience within capital markets
