ATL is looking for an enthusiastic self-driven individual with a passion for project management to be an integral part of the team in our Oregon facility. Our ideal candidate would have a bachelor's degree in science/business and 5+ years of progressive program/project management field. PMP certification preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft office applications and databases. Experience with ISO 13485 and FDA QSR 820 and the impacts to product design, project schedules and documentation requirements. Experience with risk management. Experience with injection molded plastic tooling and design. Fluency in Mandarin and/or Spanish would be preferred and have special consideration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

  • Responsible for clear, concise accurate and effective communication to all parties within project scope. This includes both internal and external customers.

  • Planning, managing, and executing of assigned projects according to agreed milestones and budgets.

  • Responsible for scope management, coordinating team member work, identifying potential risk and managing risk (technical and business).

  • Developing project schedules.

  • Presents reports that define the project process, problems and most importantly solutions.

  • Providing status updates to management of project status.

  • Responsible for constructively escalating issues when necessary.

  • Revising plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

  • Ensures the project's objectives and expectations are clearly defined and documented, and well understood between the customer and ATL.

  • Ensures deliverables are properly reviewed and ready prior to providing them to the customer, and has the prime responsibility to ensure the customer has a continued perception of ATL's excellence in capabilities and products.

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external customers and company stakeholders.

  • Review drawings, review test plans and protocols.

  • Create new project proposals.

  • Holding Engineers and other team members accountable for quality and timeliness of work.

  • Oversees project quality throughout project life cycle.

  • Travel up to 25% of time.

  • Ability to maintain effective customer relations. Ability to effectively discuss both business and technical aspects of a project.

  • Experience in problem solving and conflict management.

  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management

  • Knowledge of how to us MS Project, Solid Works and/or other equivalent CAD programming software.

  • Knowledge of basic medical device assembly.

  • QMS experience and knowledge a plus.

  • Ability to understand and contribute to DFMEA and PRMEA discussions.

JOB OVERVIEW: * Manage multiple electrical subcontractors performing extensive fast-tracked scope in Fab. * Extensive experience on large industrial projects required, hi-tech preferred * Manage the technical electrical information required to deliver some of the most exciting projects in the industry. We are looking for team leaders, problem solvers and great communicators. * Collaborate with design professionals, clients, subcontractors and craftspeople to address complex electrical coordination issues. They are on the front line in avoiding and solving technical problems on our projects. * Lead our electrical quality control efforts onsite. From document review during preconstruction to commissioning and punch list. * Use the latest technology in their work. ProLog, Laser digital scanning, Building Information Model (BIM), Navisworks and Bluebeam document management are some of the tools in broad use on our projects. * Field experience required * Personnel management experience required JOB DUTIES: * Manage Electrical team from start to finish * Coordinating work with Mechanical Project Manager and team * Interpretation of construction documents, controls sequences and technical manuals. * Run startup meetings involving Area Construction Managers, Design Team members, multiple subcontractors, local utility agencies and owners to coordinate/drive MEP system start up activities. * Interface between Area Construction Managers and multiple subcontractors to assist in coordinating Mechanical/Electrical startups. * Verify all documentation is complete and equipment being readied for startup is construction complete and can be safely started. * Ability to coordinate electrical systems with architectural and structural elements within the overall project design. * Organize and facilitate training of Owner's personnel in the operations and maintenance of Electrical systems * Review and process project submittal information and coordinate between multiple submittals to insure the accuracy and functionality of each component of the various MEP systems * Writing and publishing meeting minutes, schedule graphs and activity checklists * Receiving and distributing requests for information and change documents issued by other offices * Organization, completion and filing of record documents * Information storage and retrieval using computer and other handheld electronic hardware * Technical advisor at onsite field construction office * Must be able to access all areas and levels of construction site for work progress review * Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended periods of overtime or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction sequences * Clear communication skills in speech, handwriting and computer formatting required for responding to information requests * Help estimate electrical budget for projects * Secure electrical subcontractor and equipment buyout * Manage electrical subcontractor contracts and contract modifications * Oversee billing and schedule of values formation * Help manage project staffing QUALIFICATIONS: * Education background in materials and methods of construction. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience required. * Must be familiar with medium and low voltage distribution, large generators, UPS equipment, and electrical installations on large mechanical and process equipment * Self-starter and quick learner * Excellent written and verbal communication skills: must be able to work closely with owners, architects, engineers and subs * Someone with strong community ties and/or a the possibility of bringing their clientele base with them * Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method. Familiar with CSI specification system for electrical scopes of work. * Ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential and being able to maintain a cooperative attitude through pressure situations. * Skill in handling several work activities at once while frequently interrupted by phone calls and urgent questions on work in progress. * Training in design document reading, design specifications, survey theory and techniques. * Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook) and Bluebeam. Experience with critical path method scheduling software such as Suretrack Project Manager and Primavera Project Planner (P6) experience. * Experience with Project Management Software such as Procor, Prolog or E-Builder.
