How will you make an impact?

You will be part of our rapidly transforming IS department, reporting directly to the Infrastructure Director. Your focus is on successful planning, organizing, and managing assigned resources to bring about the successful completion of Infrastructure projects in our IS area. Assigned projects will be focused around security, IS transformation, systems stability and business processes.

  • Responsible for successful planning and execution of projects; applying knowledge, skills, tools and management techniques to project activities in the interest of achieving technology projects.

  • Leading the planning and implementation of projects and deliveries with diverse groups of Business and IS co-workers.

  • Facilitates and manages the definition of key objectives, project scope, deliverables, and resource requirements.

  • Identifies and defines mitigation strategies for areas of risk within a project or initiative.

  • Responsible for project timelines, budget, communication, test procedure development, quality of deliverables, milestone tracking, and troubleshooting.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Requires limited oversight

  • Requires general direction, independently defines necessary tasks to achieve outcomes

  • Perform multiple tasks of moderate and high complexity

  • Multi-task and achieve multiple deliverables

  • Achieve goals, understands realization

  • Manages large projects and project tasks in combination with management of smaller assignments

  • Able to plan, schedule, estimate and commit

  • Performs concept development

  • Regularly performs peer reviews and coaches others in area of expertise; acts as a leader

  • Coordinates project planning and execution activities

  • Performs cost/benefit analysis

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 - 10 years of recent experience performing advanced work in project management in multiple environments.

  • Experience with multiple project methodologies including Agile and Waterfall, and system development lifecycle is required.

  • In addition to strong project management skills, the position requires knowledge of IS Systems and infrastructure.

  • An understanding of residential mortgage lending, the mortgage insurance industry and the role of mortgage insurance is a plus.

  • Agility in communication and conflict resolution methods is also needed.

As a result, we have a full-time position available for a project manager to join our company. Our project managers lead project teams in the delivery of architecture, engineering and planning services on a wide range of facility types such as airport buildings, local, state and federal government facilities, industrial facilities, university buildings, and specialty facilities. Responsibilities include: managing projects of all sizes for scope, schedule and budget; leading and coordinating the resources and activities of project teams; maintaining client contact; participating in strategic and operational marketing activities; preparing scoping documents, pricing and fee estimates; drafting contracts. Travel will be required. Qualifications The successful candidate must have the following: * a professional degree in architecture, engineering, or other related field from an accredited college or university * at least 5 years of relevant technical experience, AND * at least 2 years of project management experience OR * if no degree, must have at least 11 years of relevant consulting experience including technical work and managing projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: managing scope, schedule and budget on medium to large projects including but not limited to local, state, and federal government; industrial and manufacturing; university and/or research facilities; managing project invoices and accounts receivable; working directly with clients, including marketing to obtain future work; leading quality control reviews; mentoring less experienced staff; proposal development. Professional license in architecture or engineering and/or certification in project management is a plus.
