Summary:

Cree/Wolfspeed Medium-high voltage SiC team is looking for a self-motivated, hands-on Project Manager to drive execution excellence and process innovation in our Power product portfolio. The individual will work as part of a cross functional team consisting of product development, operations and marketing to develop next generation power module and die solutions targeted at the Industrial and Aerospace market segments. A successful candidate will be a resourceful problem solver that is able to work around technical obstacles, implement practical solutions and successfully partner with Wolfspeed's worldwide design, project management and manufacturing organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the execution of new product introduction (NPI) process for module and die development within the Medium-high voltage power team

  • Take ownership of development schedules, budgets, priorities, risk assessments and quality targets. Revise plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements leveraging the appropriate processes

  • Where processes do not exist, or can be improved, proactively drive change to ensure success of the project, the team and the business

  • Ensure that all disciplines & support functions work together to meet and/or beat the project goals. Collaborate across the functional teams to coordinate on all module and die release activities

  • Identify needed resources and assign individual responsibilities. Prioritize projects and project efforts per business requirements

  • Identify and exercise company-wide subject matter experts when required

  • Execute and improve the NPI methodology and project standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering

  • Experience in new product development environment

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple development projects simultaneously in the semiconductor industry

  • Resourceful, hands-on, problem solving individual with initiative and drive to work around technical obstacles

  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast pace, highly dynamic environment, at both a detailed execution and strategic level

  • Must possess a strong "whatever it takes" attitude

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

  • Experience working in a matrixed environment with the ability to influence and gain commitments without direct supervisor authority

  • Willing and open to travel - both domestic and international

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Product development/project management experience in industrial and aerospace market

  • Experience in vendor negotiation

  • Experience representing projects and development process in both internal and external audits
