Work you'll do

As a Project Manager, you will work within our Global Employment Services (GES) Technology Center team which is responsible for technology applications used by our internal and external clients. You will be collaborate across the team driving key technology projects to transform our global business. You will own the project(s) including: driving teams to meet defined milestones and deliverables, development and management of a work plan, managing program status, risk and issue reporting, managing project scope, governance and stakeholder engagement, and vendor management. Detail responsibilities include:

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) to ensure delivery within scope, budget and resources escalating to program lead as needed

  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s)

  • Submit project status reports to stakeholders; review risks, issues and define mitigation plans; anticipate and react to change

  • Ensure vendors meet or exceed contractual obligations

  • Manage interaction between vendors and internal program delivery teams to provide adequate visibility of interdependent initiatives and programs

  • Manage development and UAT calls with vendors

Program Governance

  • Maintain and update program organization structure charts as required

  • Manage list of resources/stakeholders involved in program governance

  • Refine/Define roles and responsibilities

  • Engage governance group(s) to ensure stakeholders are well informed and engaged to drive program success

Program Status Reporting

  • Prepare and distribute regular status reports providing key stakeholders with correct, transparent, and timely program performance

  • Support and create other Management reporting as required by the Program leadership

Risks & Issues Management

  • Track and monitor status of risks and issues

  • Manage escalation and resolution of risks and issues according to the defined standards or governance across the program and mitigate potential risk factors that have a material impact on the cost, scope, or timeline of the program

  • Coordinate and facilitate accountability assignment on any significant unanticipated program-level issues, action items, and tasks to drive timely resolution/closure

Work-plan Management

  • Manage the Integrated work-plan including monitoring of inter-workstream dependencies

  • Track appropriate reporting on progress against plan for the milestones in the work-plan

  • Manage consistent approach across all workstreams, with standard template and guidelines (e.g., organization of activities, granularity of task monitoring, resource loading/leveling, capturing internal and external interdependencies, marking of milestones, marking of deliverables, tracking of re-occurring activities, project plan reporting), on development and on-going management of project plans

Scope Management

  • Manage project scope, ensuring each piece of the project has a well-defined scope and any need to work outside that scope is managed through a change control process and has governance oversight

  • Align high-level Program scope with individual work-stream plans for Program delivery

Vendor Management

  • Ensure vendors meet or exceed contractual obligations

  • Manage interaction between vendors and internal program delivery teams to provide adequate visibility of interdependent initiatives and programs

Required

  • 5+ years of experience working on technology projects and/or strategic initiatives within a large, matrixed, and complex organization

  • A proven strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, formulate supporting business cases, and gain support from stakeholders

  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision and manage projects from start to finish

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of others and develop relationships across the organization

  • Experience developing executive communications, both written and verbal

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clarity and precision in both written and verbal capacities

  • A Bachelor's degree, ideally in business administration, management information system, or related field

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred:

  • Previous Big 4 or major consulting experience

  • Knowledge of tax accounting systems and related technology

  • Knowledge or experience of agile methodologies

  • Passion for delivering unique technology solutions

  • Familiarity of release management
