Job Description

This Project Manager-Learning Specialist will lead Commercial Customer Service (CCS) virtual instructor led training or self-study exercises. This position will collaborate with the Project Manager-Instructional Design to ensure a comprehensive onboarding experience for CCS new hires and ongoing professional development for existing employees.

This individual will coordinate, schedule and deliver live virtual training across CCS time zones (4+ sessions/week) and/or develop activities/assignments for self-study. They will be responsible for ongoing product training for existing CCS employees and new hire cohort calls. This will require development of training materials and a dress rehearsal with the Advisory Council to collect/implement feedback.

They will coordinate with CCS managers on scheduling training delivery for procedure/process changes and collaborate with Commercial Support on modifications to the online reference, as needed. They will also monitor completion of assigned learning. This individual will serve as backup for the Project Manager-Instructional Design, so will learn the bank's authoring tools to build/modify online training courses.

The selected individual should have experience with client service/support activities and a demonstrated propensity for training. Ideally, this role will be filled with someone who has expertise with CCS products/services.

Description of Job The Work Unit: This position is located in the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response (OEPR). OEPR develops and implements emergency response plans for CDPHE to fulfill the State's Emergency Support Function #8: (Health, Medical and Mortuary) - CDPHE is the responsible state agency for the protection of health and the medical response of victims when an emergency occurs in Colorado. OEPR works to ensure that CDPHE and local public health agencies have plans for responding to emergency events and administering medication in mass quantities to all citizens in Colorado. OEPR assesses natural and man-made disaster events, for enhancing response and trains public health professionals on the latest and improved response protocols, including the National Incident Management System. OEPR is the lead program for ensuring public health is integrated - with law enforcement, the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and other state departments critical to the state's response. OEPR is responsible for delivery and coordination of emergency preparedness education and training to CDPHE employees and public health partners. OEPR is responsible for ensuring effective and redundant communication connectivity among stakeholders involved in public health detection and response and effective distribution of critical and routine health information. OEPR assesses the state's ability to respond to emergency events relating to the medical care of victims, identifies technical gaps in health care facilities that may impact the state's response to a disaster, determines the purchase of patient care equipment and identifies best practices for mass casualty response. What You'll Be Doing: What You Will Be Doing As a Pandemic and Special Pathogens Preparedness Coordinator (Emergency Preparedness and Communications Specialist III), this position serves as the pandemic and special pathogen preparedness coordinator, in accordance with state plan's including CDPHE's Emergency Response Plan-Pandemic Annex, CDPHE's Special Pathogen CONOPS and the State Board of Health Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Preparedness for a Bioterrorist Event, Pandemic Influenza or an Outbreak by a Novel and Highly Fatal Infectious Agent or Biological toxin. As a Pandemic and Special Pathogens Preparedness Coordinator (Emergency Preparedness and Communications Specialist III), this position is tasked with the following: PANDEMIC PLANNING AND COORDINATION * Serves as the state expert on public health and hospital pandemic influenza preparedness and planning in Colorado and serves as the coordinator for state-level pandemic preparedness activities. * Provides technical assistance, guidance and support to local public health agencies, hospitals and health care agencies who receive funding from the Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) and Healthcare Program Preparedness (HPP) grants to ensure pandemic planning is cohesive, coordinated and consistent. * Writes state-level pandemic response planning and response documents, conducts educational presentations, trainings and workshops, reviews literature for best practices from other state, national and international entities and identifies and recommends evidence-based state and local strategies to address pandemic preparedness priorities. * Establishes relationships and communicates with other state and national resources and organizations to ensure coordination and utilization of the most current research; this information is then utilized to direct local and state program and policy development. * Works with the SNS Inventory Management System Coordinator on 9 inventory issues related to pandemic planning and response (e.g. vaccines, antivirals, PPE, etc.). * Advises OEPR management and the Governor's Expert Emergency Epidemic and Response Committee (GEEERC) on issues related to pandemic preparedness when appropriate. SPECIAL PATHOGEN PLANNING AND COORDINATION * Serves as a state authority on public health and hospital special pathogen preparedness in Colorado and serves as the coordinator for state-level special pathogen preparedness activities. * Leads in providing technical assistance, guidance and support to local public health agencies, hospitals and health care agencies who receive funding from the Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) and Healthcare Program Preparedness (HPP) grants to ensure special pathogen planning is cohesive, coordinated and consistent. * Writes state-level special pathogen response planning and response documents, conducts educational presentations, trainings and workshops, reviews literature for best practices from other state, national and international entities and identifies and recommends evidence-based state and local strategies to address special pathogen preparedness priorities. * Establishes relationships and communicates with other state and national resources and organizations to ensure coordination and utilization of the most current research; this information is then utilized to direct local and state program and policy development. * Advises OEPR management and the Governor's Expert Emergency Epidemic and Response Committee (GEEERC) on issues related to special pathogen preparedness when appropriate.
