Position Overview Navistar's Chassis Engineering organization has an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager Lead. This role performs non-technical project completion using an internal customer perspective, typically from initiation through delivery.

Coordinate cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget. We are looking for a dynamic contributor with strong interpersonal skills. This position involves executing and managing a diverse range of activities supporting Chassis and R&D leadership.

A successful candidate will be outgoing, possess a strong ability to network and execute new assignments with minimal guidance. Role and responsibilities include, but not limited to: Oversee, track and manage labor and outside engineering budget on a monthly basis Develop and track departmental training plans and progress Facilitate departmental recruitment plans and support events Plan and manage special projects within engineering relative to organizational development Create and present materials across all organizational levels Act as liaison between engineering and other functional areas for functional performance (IT, HR, Finance, etc) Manage departmental documentation and standards Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree At least 5 years of project/program management experience OR Master's degree At least 3 years of project/program management experience OR At least 7 years of project/program management experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.

This candidate needs a good understanding of how the overall solution is managed from the initial schedule, planning, mobilization, rentals, supervision, and materials required to perform the installation. This position is based in Grand Rapids, MI (however, the right candidate may be able to work 90% remotely) Job Responsibilities: • Represent Installation in all phases of early project planning with particular focus on cost, technical detail, and schedule. • Identify and communicate risk associated with NUD's (New, Unique, or Difficult) as they pertain to Installation execution. • Partner with SD (Solutions Development) to refine tools and processes used to accurately define project cost. • Partner with execution teams (Program Management and Engineering) to drive alignment and consistency into the process. • Partner with Installation teams to identify causes of overruns and opportunities to mitigate future reoccurrences (conduct project post-mortems and track overrun causes) • Maintain a database with all details on upcoming projects and prepare notes for discussion at ROC (Regional Operating Committee) and GOC (Global Operating Committee) meetings. • Keep Directors and VP informed on all upcoming project cost reviews.
