Project Manger:

The Water Transfer Automation Project Manager will function as the primary Automation and Project Management support role to the Water Transfer customer account. The role will be primarily responsible for guiding and implementing strategic automation (OT) initiatives alongside the account's Managing Director of Operations. Summary duties include taking ownership of full-cycle project management and administrative project support for customer-account water transfer projects in a balanced-matrixed environment, account-specific automation program development, documentation and record-keeping, as well as the supervisory monitoring of remote project operations' health, while coordinating the dispatch of remote technician personnel and operational resources

Education/Qualifications:

  • Essential:

  • Detail oriented, highly organized individual

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in the Construction, Oil & Energy, Municipal, or Heavy Industrial markets

  • 5+ years of experience with Industrial Automation (OT) controls & engineering

  • Preferred:

  • Project Management certification from an accredited program

  • Proficiency in Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies

  • Previous Operations experience in Oil & Gas Completions operations (Water Transfer, Frac)

  • Previous experience with SCADA, PLC, I&C

  • Advanced computer skills; Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems, MS Office/Google G-Suite, Project management software

  • Strong competency in project management processes including management of project integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder expectations

  • Valid Driver's License.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Matrixed-ownership of Water Transfer Operations' project planning and execution

  • Primary ownership of customer-account automation technology program and development projects

  • Lead and guide the integration initiative between conventional water transfer operations crews with the technical automation skillset

  • Hands-on accountability of project management processes including initialization, scope management, customer requirements, scheduling, estimation, resource management, cost management, risk management, procurement, internal and external stakeholder communications, documentation, quality management, monitoring and controlling, earned value management, and project close

  • Collaborate closely with Director of Automation, account Managing Director of Operations, and Customer on goal-setting, implementation, and change management

  • Works closely with field crews to monitor and control project timelines and project success factors, to troubleshoot operational problems and ascertain probable cause

  • Support water transfer automation operations through analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) case management

  • Use digital project management software to keep records and timelines up-to-date

  • Prepare EVM, project health, and Gantt reports for internal/external stakeholder review

  • Keeps management informed of operational issues through daily/weekly operations reports and other standard forms of communication.

  • Coordinate and participates in project meetings, drafts meeting minutes and agendas

  • Maintain record keeping system for projects including materials, inventory, manufacturers, vendors, equipment data, general correspondence for assigned projects, up-to-date tracking tools, metrics, and calendars

  • Identify additional risks that will prevent delivering the project on time. Work with MD and field crews to create action plans to mitigate these risks.

  • Maintain the necessary PM and general records for equipment and material inventory to be utilized for water transfer and automation projects

  • Performs other duties as assigned
