The Currency Technology Office (CTO) is hiring a Project Manager at either the Intermediate or Senior level. The Project Manager will provide expertise and direction on large-scale complex technology-based projects, directly influencing activities on business-critical projects from the conceptual phase through solution implementation and project close. The Project Manager will serve as a single point-of-contact for all areas affected by their projects and may direct the work of matrixed teams. The Project Manager will use industry-standard best practices in order to assure delivery of project goals, objectives, milestones and deliverables, as well as compliance with all project management processes.

Essential Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):

  • Manage all aspects of complex, large-scale and/or high priority technology-based projects, from start to finish, to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

  • Anticipates project barriers and formulates solutions; defines highly complex system user requirements/objectives.

  • Determines and influences technology-based project activities outcomes from conceptual phase to project implementation. Serves as a technical consultant to customers throughout project life cycle.

  • Directs work of technology-based project team members within and outside department to ensure highest possible efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Manages vendor relationships.

  • Provides thought leadership on developing technology-based project plans tied to short and long-term business plans and determining ROI criteria for Department/District/System strategic initiatives.

  • Serves as point of contact for stakeholders and all areas affected by the project.

  • Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrates high degree of initiative, self-discipline, and motivation.

  • Excellent oral and written communication, ability to interact on required information and concepts with people at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to ask penetrating questions, identify unstated assumptions, and resolve conflicts.

  • Broad knowledge and expertise of Project Management methodologies and industry best practices.

  • Broad technical knowledge required to perform job.

Qualifications/Requirements (Intermediate):

  • 3 years of relevant work experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • PMP preferred or expected within one year of hire date

  • 2 years with using MS Project or MS Project Server to manage project schedules is preferred

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneous

  • Experience working within a Program Management Office (PMO) is preferred

  • Experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM), Benefits Realization Management, Design Thinking or Communications Management is a plus

  • Experience in both hardware solution projects and software or network solution projects is a plus

  • Experience with using Tableau, Risk Management software (like Risk Radar), SharePoint is a plus

Qualifications/Requirements (Senior):

  • 5 years of relevant work experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • PMP certification required

  • 4 years with using MS Project or MS Project Server to manage project schedules

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneous

  • Experience in hardware solution projects and software or network solution projects

  • Experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM), Benefits Realization Management, Design Thinking or Communications Management

  • Experience working within a Program Management Office (PMO) is preferred

  • Experience with using Tableau, Risk Management software (like Risk Radar), SharePoint is a plus

  • The hiring range for:

Intermediate Project Manager- $82,000 - $102,500 annually

Senior Project Manager- $95,000 - $118,700 annually

  • Salary and position title offered will be based on job responsibilities and individual's knowledge, skills and experience as defined in the job qualifications/experience.

Perceptive and energetic, you develop cross-functional groups into high-performing teams that consistently deliver delightful products.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul> <li>Ability to manage metrics, including but not limited to budgets (profitability, cost of goods sold (COGS), margins and revenue) and capacity planning (LOE (level of effort), project burn down). </li> <li>Demonstrate flexibility when a plan or scope changes</li> <li>Maintain project schedules and scheduling resources with the client, team members, and contractors related to project delivery. </li> <li>Develop and maintain project related documentation.
