Position Summary...

What you'll do...

  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of Walmart's equity plans.

  • Leads the continuous improvement of tools and strategies by researching industry trends; benchmarking with industry leaders to determine innovative solutions; comparing industry best practices and solutions to Walmart strategies and capabilities; determining business impact of new solutions (for example, return on investment); partnering with senior leadership to ensure alignment with strategic direction; making recommendations to senior leadership regarding changes and updates to the strategic direction; and integrating innovative solutions into strategies for Walmart.

  • Manages vendors and third party relationships by partnering with leadership to identify potential vendors; participating in negotiation of terms and conditions of contracts; assisting leadership in determining performance standards; monitoring vendors' work on projects; working with vendors to address and resolve performance issues; and facilitating conference calls and meetings with vendors for project planning and service reviews.

  • Drives execution and implementation of complex projects and programs by developing tools and utilizing resources; acting as a liaison to support problem solving from Centers of Excellence; influencing key decision makers; implementing and executing action plans; preparing modifications to meet the needs of the business function; supporting the development of process improvement strategies for multiple workstreams; identifying potential gaps and recommending solutions; providing support to in-market teams in the development of implementation plans that include change management concepts; determining resource needs; creating process improvement roadmaps and ensuring they align with the global strategy; and communicating with senior leadership on project and program status.

  • Manages the development and the execution of large projects or programs by developing high-level plans to achieve strategic goals and business objectives; developing and adjusting timelines, tasks, and analysis of resource allocation; leading cross-functional teams; prioritizing and managing work streams; monitoring progress versus plan; prioritizing and ensuring resolution of critical issues; providing informational presentations; overseeing change management; managing stakeholder expectations; and developing implementation materials.

  • Analyzes environmental factors for project feasibility by assessing key opportunities; determining the strategic approach; identifying the current state of the business (for example, economic, operational); conducting gap analysis; collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to assess needs and success measurements; developing cross-functional assessments and business cases for action; and presenting key opportunities and assessments to senior executives for review and approval.

Manager I, Global Shared Services is responsible for pulling and analyzing data related to On Time and In Full (OTIF) or similar programs and helping to build insights, tie in merchant and supply chain operations, and effectively communicate to suppliers and leadership on recommendations. The position will work closely with operations, technology, finance, and business partners to translate supply chain challenges into data problems and use existing data to solve those problems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Ensures OTIF compliance program goals are delivered ; analyzing data and creating reports; analyzing key performance indicators (KPI) and metrics to understand opportunities and obstacles to future growth; supporting management in the execution of strategic initiatives; reviewing team productivity to ensure operations meet growth targets; and establishing relationships with key stakeholders to accept and implement strategy. * Manages and executes process improvements in the OTIF compliance program by driving team to seek improvement opportunities; identifying process deficiencies, dependencies, and bottom line and direct impacts to the business; reviewing and approving recommended improvements to current processes; identifying and integrating similar processes and best practices for efficiency and effectiveness; collaborating with cross-functional teams (for example, Innovations, Information Systems division) to support process automation and transformational projects; facilitating training sessions on process implementation, systems, and procedures; and ensuring creation and maintenance of process documentation * Manages key controls to protect company assets by communicating Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) objectives for the department; ensuring compliance with key data elements; creating process flows that define and mitigate possible risks and exposures; making recommendations to leadership to ensure proper control governance is in place; working with internal teams to identify potential areas of risk and develop processes to mitigate risk; and ensuring adherence to company policies and external regulatory agency rules and regulations. * Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices. * QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
