Project Manager II
Location: Mountain View, CA
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
The UX Infrastructure team combines world-class program management skills with a passion for user experience to help UX teams across client and improve products for billions of users. We serve over 3500 UXers, thousands of stakeholders, and millions of external users around the globe.
Our UX Spaces team manages a large fleet of dedicated global spaces for UXers across client. As client's product development needs grow, we are evolving our definition of the spaces where UXers work - labs, sprint spaces, and workspaces - on and off campus. We're looking for a Project Manager who will help define structure in and scale out our operations - bonus points if you can help automate some of these tasks.
As with any project management role, you're responsible for balancing multiple projects at any given time, managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating any roadblocks with stakeholders. The projects often span time zones and hemispheres. You are an expert in problem solving and multitasking while building long-term relationships. You'll utilize a full range of operational and interpersonal skills to help our talented teams operate at their highest level.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Define tasks and required resources for high impact operational projects, building schedule and project timeline
Clearly communicate with program leads regarding project status, proactively identify and prioritize risks, and create plans to quickly resolve them.
Support a mix of strategic and operational pilots associated with a new initiative
Research and scout external workspaces based on specific criteria, building a dynamic resource for findings
Develop an intake system to track and manage efforts
Coordinate, plan, and manage pilot logistics, including communications, scheduling, tracking spend, gathering feedback, and collecting learnings into a shared resource (internal and FAQs for program leadership)
Execute the creation of a program site, documentation, and processes
Work with program leadership to identify and track metrics for health of operations
Experience defining meaningful metrics for an operations or support team Experience with communication design and/or UX/UI design (agency work a plus) Technical aptitude and highly analytical: a strong willingness to dive in and learn on the go Ability to think 'out of the box' and bring creative, nonstandard, and innovative solutions to the table. A strong sense of focus and excellent attention to detail Ability to quickly complete a large volume of high-quality work in a very fast-paced environment. Strong leadership skills Ability to establish effective relationships, influence, drive consensus and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels. Proven ability to multitask, analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems. Thorough knowledge of user-centered design, user research methods, iterative development processes, and usability principles. Experience creating and maintaining program schedules using project management systems An ability to extract, analyze and manipulate data in a variety of applications and formats
