Description

Job Summary:

A Project Manager will manage, plan, and coordinate activities of a project to ensure that the goals or objectives of the projects are accomplished within the allotted time and budget parameters. They will review project proposals to determine an attainable time frame as well as a suitable budget. They will develop a work plan for accomplishing the project, a plan for staffing the project, and secure available resources from other departments based on various phases of a project. They will work closely with assigned teams from the responsible department to support the project.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the assigned projects, or sub-tasks.

  • Manages project supervisors/leaders assigned to specific projects.

  • Works with project staff to outline the work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.

  • Manages subcontractors and their workforce.

  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within budget.

  • Reviews project status with the project team and modify schedules or plans as required.

  • Prepares project reports for management and other stakeholders.

  • Works with project personnel to advise on technical issues and to resolve problems.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • BS degree in Engineering or related field and/or related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understands the capabilities of heavy lifting equipment (forklifts/cranes/man-lifts)
  • Proficient with Office Suite software (Word, excel, outlook, etc.)
  • Excel
  • Advanced level experience
  • MS Project
  • Advanced level experience
  • MS PowerPoint - basic level experience

  • Good verbal/written communication skills.

  • Good organizational and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work with OEMs and contractors.

Work Environment:

  • Lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Work in conditions below 32 degrees or above 90 degrees on occasion.
