ASSIGNMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: .
Independently leads and provides project management leadership for large programs and projects .
Ensures projects meet business requirements on time and within budget.
Defines and manages communication plans.
Leads activities to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Identifies and communicates budget and schedule variances.
Monitors progress of project and reports status.
Performs any corrective actions and escalates with recommendations .
Manages tasks and designates responsibilities for global and virtual teams of 10-20 project contributors.
Effectively manages work with vendor partners as appropriate
5+ years of project management experience leading medium to large size projects.
4-year college degree required
Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills .
Must possess knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques .
Understands the various application development methodologies (waterfall, iterative, etc.) and can apply them appropriately depending on the type of project that he/she is leading .
Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint: 5+ Years.
Effectively manages work with vendor partners as appropriate.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks for self and others.
Experience managing medium to large size multi-million dollar projects and/or experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of project management tools, methods and best practices as defined by Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
Strong experience with the use of ETCs, Baselines, Dependencies, Resource Leveling, and Burn Rate.
Experience leading matrixed project teams.
Detail-oriented & strong organizational & analytical skills.
