This position will directly support our responsibilties as a General Engineering Consultant (GEC) to our client.Job SummaryResponsible for the leadership and management of a team in support of the project's profitable operation. Responsible for proactively managing the project's technical budget (direct labor and expenses, including technical sub-consultants), schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, project communications and HNTB's 4 for 4 performance: delivery of quality work, on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction on every project. Responsible for gross revenue of Essential Responsibility * Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects. * Actively manages project scope, schedule and budget. Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion and to the client's satisfaction. * Implements the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. * Develops project scope and fee quotation, and assists in the preparation of proposals and contracts. * Coordinates work efforts and reviews of work performed by project team. Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives. * Oversees project staffing with departments, offices and divisions. * Performs other duties as assigned.Additional Responsibilities- Develop and enhance key client relationships and serve as one of the primary company contacts- Accept GEC managerial responsibility for projects including oversight of contracts, scope, design, quality and schedule- Occasionally perform design related tasks such as data collection, analysis, perform calculations, plans preparation, quantities, tabulations, cost estimates and quality control- Provide support to senior management staff- Document project communications- Facilitate meetings to resolve design issues as necessary- Administer relevant aspects of a formal quality control program- Satisfy client requirements Basic Qualification Bachelor's degree in Engineering 8 years relevant experience Preferred Qualification/SkillsProfessional Engineer (PE) license Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project expereince *IND General Work Conditions Combination Office and Field Environment: Most work is performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use. Work may infrequently be performed at client's job site, construction trailer, and in the field. Work may sometimes require working in inclement weather, working in a construction site, being exposed to heavy construction equipment and doing extensive walking. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing assigned internal and client-related projects and will be the point of contact for coordinating project deadlines and goals. You will be responsible for writing detailed specifications of end-user requirements and coordinating between various team members including Account Executives, Client Service Representatives, Engineers, and Executive Management. As the project landscape is continuously changing at Thuzi, you will need to be flexible and able to move between projects while maintaining a high level of organization. Key Responsibilities: * Facilitating requirements gathering from end-users * Writing specifications for all projects and communicating to team members * Tracking the progress of all projects and manage all project deadlines and goals * Keeping executive management informed of project statuses and issues * Running effective meetings (ex project kickoff, client communications, status meetings, closeout meetings, etc.) to ensure project success * Effectively communicating with clients on project statuses, as the primary point of contact * Managing the development backlog and contributing to the product roadmap * Contributing to product decisions at the macro and micro level Qualifications: * 1-3 years experience in project management for a software-based company * Demonstrated skills in written communications; ability to compose basic as well as complex technical documents, formal letters, etc. * Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with different internal departments to ensure project success * Stellar organizational, time-management and prioritization skills * Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment Specific to this position: * Familiarity with Agile software development processes * Professional and/or personal experience in the live events space preferred * Preferably located in Tampa * Travel to client sites and events will be part of this position About Thuzi Thuzi LLC, based in Tampa FL, with company representatives and partnerships throughout the U.S. and worldwide, is the leader in experiential marketing technology used by many of the worlds largest brands, event owners and agencies.
