We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our New York based Hearst Digital Media advertising project management team. In this position you will lead the execution of custom display ad and content executions built in partnership between Hearst Magazines and our automotive advertising clients. You will work collaboratively to scope and deliver projects with our advertisers, internal marketing, sales and operations partners. This includes detailing deliverables, estimating timelines and resource requirements, and reporting results against client KPIs. As the project manager you'll be the hub of the wheel coordinating activity among many internal and external stakeholders. Your goal will be to efficiently manage the development process, successfully deliver advertising projects on time and exceed client performance expectations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement sold-in custom advertiser-driven campaigns across all Hearst websites, including,,,,,, and

  • Execute custom programs ranging from, but not limited to, custom photo and video, rich media ad units, sponsored content, sweepstakes/contests, and homepage takeovers

  • Communicate and partner with internal teams (i.e. Sales, Marketing, Creative, Editorial, Design, Copy, Social, Legal) and third party vendors to create custom content and ad products

  • Lead client communication for all assigned programs

  • Build ad products using internal CMS system as needed

  • Troubleshoot issues discovered during QA, revising as needed

  • Implement click & impression trackers for custom elements

  • Manage expectations internally and externally regarding schedules, resources and budgets

  • Ensure that campaigns launch on time, deliver exactly what was sold, and exceed all given benchmarks by optimizing when necessary

  • Summarize, analyze and share results throughout campaigns


  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience managing advertising or marketing projects for digital execution

  • Knowledge of standard web applications, rich web technologies (e.g., Web 2.0, HTML, browsers, Flash, etc.)

  • Web tracking and reporting expertise using tools such as Omniture and GoogleAnalytics

  • Demonstrable expertise with QA tools and methodology

  • Very strong organizational skills and eye for detail

  • Ability to lead a cross-functional project team, juggle multiple projects at one time, and execute against firm deadlines

  • Strong relationship building and communication skills

  • Excellent writing skills

Additional experience desired:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Platforms: Central Desktop, CMS, Omniture, DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP)

  • Familiarity troubleshooting technical problems in HTML, JS, Flash, HTML5

  • Familiarity with Kanban style of project management

  • Experience with automotive clients (including automotive agencies and automotive creative executions)

This individual will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results. * Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Structural Engineering, Cost Estimating or related field. * 5-10 years' experience in construction cost estimating of a variety of building types from program, conceptual, schematic, design development and construction document stages of design in elemental and CSI format at a mid-senior level. * Practical and logical qualities and a methodical thinker; good problem-solving skills, strong numeracy and financial management skills; ability to write clear and precise reports and relate complex information to a diverse range of people. Knowledge and use of industry estimating software and Microsoft Office software programs. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions * Indoor office environment.
