Key Responsibilities:
This position is for a Transportation an Installation (T&I) Project Manager to represent Client for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project.
The CVOW project entails the construction and installation of 176 wind turbine generators and three offshore substations; as well as, associated cables and equipment 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The T&I Project Manager will report to the Manager - Site Construction, Offshore Wind. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget of the T&I package.
Close day to day interaction with other CVOW package managers, site construction team, and the Commissioning Manager.
The T&I Manager will be required to ensure all equipment is transported, installed, and commissioned as required in a timely manner.
The candidate will be required to work with the T&I prime contractor to ensure the equipment transportation, installation, and commissioning activities meet the Owner's requirements.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
Keywords:- ("PROJECT MANAGER") AND (WIND OR "OFFSHORE WIND") AND (RENEWABLES) AND (CONSTRUCTION) AND ("WIND TURBINE GENERATORS" OR "WIND TURBINE" OR "TURBINE GENERATOR")
Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, relevant technologies, and leadership in the assigned project areas.
Experience in offshore wind construction, maritime construction, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
Good knowledge of marine, mechanical, electrical, and controls system.
Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) as required.
Proficient with interpreting technical drawings, documents & management reports.
Ability to lead and manage multiple work fronts.
Currently GWO certified or ability to obtain certification.
May be required to work in an offshore environment.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
7+ years of project management experience in the field of construction, engineering, finance and/or management with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in project management
4+ of those years MUST be directly in a Transportation and Installation Project Manager Role
Bachelor Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education
Other Education: Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology.
