The Project Manager (PM) develops the project master schedule and construction plan from the client’s goals, design team, and executive staff. PMs actively work to solve challenging issues on a “win-win” basis for all parties.

Construction Project Manager Duties and Responsibilities

• Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
• Manages day-to-day operations of a project or projects and its scope.
• Reviews all deliverables prepared by team before client submission.
• Develops cost-effective plans and schedules for completion of projects following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
• Selects and coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project.
• Is responsible for proper administration of subcontracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
• Identifies the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
• Responsible for ensuring that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule and project profitability forecast, monitoring the progress of construction activities on a regular basis and holding regular status meetings.
• Manages the budget and makes monthly financial forecasts.
• Minimizes exposure and risk in the project(s).
• Reports to owners and architects about progress.
• Responsible for assuring that invoices are accurate, submitted timely, and that payments are received.

• Graduate of a four-year degree program in construction management, construction science or civil engineering.
• 6 years or more of experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity.
• Ability to coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Job Summary Reporting directly to the Pre-Access Manager, the Pre-Access Process Specialist assists in analytical support of daily insurance verification and authorization operations for Pre-Access Operations. The Process Specialist has the following top responsibilities: * Analyze trends, patterns, and outcomes related to the operation of securing authorizations in the various pre-access units * Review problematic accounts to determine best course of action and/or necessary changes to operations * Utilize Microsoft Excel I Access and Epic reporting tools to identify trends or patterns of concern, devise solutions, and recommend best course of action; work closely with other analysts within the Revenue Cycle team to achieve the same objectives * Assist management in the assignment and distribute work to staff as necessary * Respond to staff inquiries on accounts prior to escalation to a supervisor The incumbent is expected to work independently but closely with various stakeholders for authorizations in the Medical Center. To do so, he/she must maintain effective and productive interaction between the unit, Radiology department, the various practices of the Medical Center, as well as the insurance companies that are contracted with UCSF Medical Center. Required Qualifications * Two years of related experience and / or equivalent education / training * Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs * Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing * Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes * Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality * Knowledge of government program regulations, Medi-Cal, Medicare, MIA, C.C.S., and other third party payers * Proficiency in reimbursement financial policies * Proficiency in commercial health insurance eligibility and authorization requirements * Basic knowledge of medical terminology * The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations Preferred Qualifications * Four or more years of experience at the Admitting Worker or comparable level * Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training * Previous UCSF Medical Center Patient Access experience * Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns * Strong customer service skills * Ability to work collaboratively with a culturally diverse staff and patient/family population * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Licensure/Certification * N/A Living Pride Standards Service Excellence * Demonstrates service excellence by following the Everyday PRIDE Guide with the UCSF Medical Center standards and expectations for communication and behavior.
