Chicago Advisors is looking for Project Manager for finance and accounting projects- Govt. Project in Chicago downtown
Candidate Requirements
10+ years of project management experience; Experience with finance and accounting projects a plus.
Bachelor's degree. Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
5+ years of non-project related business experience; experience in accounting or finance a plus
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written a must
Experience managing cross-functional project teams
Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills with clients and team members
Proven ability to deliver medium to large-size projects successfully within set parameters
Background in preparing business cases, including business value, capital and expense analysis and return on investment
Good problem solving, conflict resolution skills and change management skills
Expert at working with presentations, documents and spreadsheets and project management tools
Experience with Smartsheets and Google Applications a plus

For more information, visit Job Description The Accounting and Finance Associate role will immediately become an important contributor to the Oak Street Health team. The ideal candidate will have strong relationship skills, be self-directed, and enjoy working with a team in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment, while bringing his/her experience and innovative ideas. Specific responsibilities include: * Partner with market/regional leaders and other internal stakeholders to better understand and shape drivers of business performance * Develop and deliver accurate and comprehensive financial reports and analyses to influence business decision making * Contribute to the budgeting process by analyzing/predicting financial trends, and continuously track/communicate actual vs. budgeted variances * Assist in the day-to-day accounting operations of the company including general ledger maintenance and month close activities * Provide support to Oak Street's Project Management Office (PMO) in developing, assessing, and analyzing project-level business cases and financial projections * Perform internal quality assurance reviews (e.g., payroll, contracts, invoice payments) * Assist in the research and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures * Support the development and assessment of company's internal control framework * Provide support for financial modeling, forecasting, and other ad hoc analytical needs * Other duties as assigned based on background and areas of interest What we're looking for We're looking for motivated individuals with: * Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related quantitative field required * Early-stage company and/or healthcare experience a plus * CPA strongly preferred * 2-3 years of public accounting and/or other relevant accounting experience * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and impeccable business judgment * Ability to independently pursue and implement solutions to complex problems * Proficient with Microsoft Excel; experience with other financial and analytical applications a plus (e.g., Workday, SQL, Alteryx) * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be personable yet persistent * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment * US work authorization * Someone who embodies being "Oaky".
