This is a regional role, therefore the location is flexible across the Continental European region.
Purpose of the Job
The Project Manager Events in COEUR is the responsible leader for the operations function of Events throughout the region. The role is responsible for the alignment of overall targets and for delivering positive operational performance results in line with the events strategy. They are responsible for both the development and leadership of the operations team across events and for collaboration across the organization to support a cohesive strategy in both Sales and Operations.
Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities
Responsible for driving safety performance, responsibility, and accountability through the region of responsibility: Acts as a role model for the organisation regarding QHSE practices
Drives and influences the delivery of operations services in accordance with company, customer, and industry standards
Responsible for delivering effective service execution of events; resulting in enhanced customer service levels
Responsible for working with the different area operations teams in Continental Europe to effectively plan, prepare, and execute all of the key event projects happening in the region
Will work with multiple stakeholders throughout the Coeur network of service centres to ensure Event projects are successfully planned, delivered, and executed
Develops fleet and product strategies to meet customer demand and cost effectively satisfy project requirements
Works with regional and global resources to ensure the appropriate fleet and people resource mix and allocation
Creates and maintains relationships at key levels with the customer and other key external stakeholders; becomes a real subject matter expert for the customer during project delivery and execution
Can provide project site management and leadership that ensures proper execution of technical and P&L aspects
Responsible for influencing and leading improvements related to the quality and reliability of our event service offering
Works in close collaboration with the events sales team in preparing for a successful operational delivery of their sales plans
Participates on project teams to develop and implement global strategic operational initiatives
Technically support the areas on Aggreko products and applications for Events sector and support coordination of major events in COEUR when needed
Promote and define high quality standards for product and applications in the Events sector and support development of the Service personnel
Drive improvement on Product / Design of solution for Events Sector
Drive profitability of Events projects
Facilitate identification of CAPEX needs for Events Fleet and ancillaries
Support identification and together with Procurement, building of relationship with the major COEUR suppliers for X-hire
Contribute to Creation & Implementation of Standard for Events Project delivery (Design, Equipment, Tools,)
Monitoring of profitability of Events and propose actions to globally increase contribution of Events to ROCE, while ensuring a "Best-in-class" customer experience
Contribute to identify Events need and Specs Definition for new products
Based on field experience and feedback, identify and support product modification & improvement
Identify opportunities to develop solutions and standard design around Aggreko Product Range
Person Specification/Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent
PC literacy in a Microsoft environment or ERP system
Successful experience in operational/financial management against measurable performance standards, leading/managing an Operations Team
Successful track record and experience in leading operational functions driving consistent improvement in key operational metrics
Experience with lean principles including 5S/6S (GSCS) and other related process improvement methodologies.
Experience managing in a multi-site operating environment
Partnering with colleagues in a matrix organization structure to accomplish company-wide objectives
Good ability to read, write, and speak English is a must, other European languages are a plus
