Overview

In this highly visible and mission critical role, you will be responsible for managing medium to large sized cross-functional projects across the SFHP landscape (i.e., software selection and/ or implementation, new product/line of business implementation), or projects focused on meeting external compliance regulations. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with individuals across the organization to provide overall project planning and execution and to insure project and organizational success.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Use your project management experience to run successful projects of varying complexity, ensuring effective budget planning, resource procurement, meeting planning and facilitation, conflict resolution and risk mitigation.

  • Create project plans and schedules.

  • Schedule and facilitate team meetings, including the creation of agendas and meeting minutes.

  • Create and maintain project decision, action item, issue/risk logs, and dashboards and maintain them within a formal document repository.

  • Develop and manage project communication.

  • Drive deliverables and maintain timelines according to the project schedule.

  • Review current business processes and devise improvement strategies.

  • Provide meeting agendas and minutes to all stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • A Bachelor's degree in health care administration or a related field, or equivalent experience. An MBA desired.

  • A minimum of 3 years experience as a Project Manager.

  • Experience in managing projects and project team members spanning various physical locations and functional areas.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Project.

  • Experience in healthcare or the managed care industry.

  • Formal project management training (PMP or PMP in progress).

  • Ability to produce accurate and precise work, detect discrepancies and resolve discrepancies while meeting deadlines.

  • Demonstrated collaborative ability.

  • Familiarity with health care, managed care terminology and Medi-Cal preferred.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, management and executives.

  • Strong client services orientation with emphasis on quality of service, client support and responsiveness.

Demonstrates a strong interest in deals, capital markets, complex accounting and other transactions-based activities and should expect to operate in a high pressure, fast-paced work environment. Demonstrates proven extensive abilities and success with managing teams in a professional services consulting firm, including, but not limited to, the following areas: Technical Capabilities * Staying current on applicable technical accounting and financial reporting standards, create and manage a full implementation plan and plan and communicate milestones to demonstrate value add to the client on a regular basis; and, * Reinforcing firm compliance requirements and applying to client engagements.
