As the Project Manager, you will be working within alliantgroup's Energy Incentives (179D) division to plan and execute projects associated with tax incentive deduction studies. You will work in a team environment alongside some of the best in the business including fellow attorneys, accountants, engineers, and architects through the completion of tax consulting assignments. Working hand in hand with technical experts and senior leadership, you will be driving project success and management by acquiring resources and coordinating efforts of the team to deliver projects according to plans.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of a project's life cycle

  • As the main point of contact, build a strong sustainable client relationship by anticipating and assessing client needs

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with project team and senior management

  • Develop and communicate full-scale project plans and expectations to team members and senior management

  • Discuss detailed and technical aspects of projects with clients, identify qualifying activities, and understanding the construction industry

  • Evaluate projects at each stage to identify potential areas for improvement and growth to achieve individual and team goals

  • Plan and schedule strategic project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools

  • Set and continually manage project expectations, identify opportunities, and devise contingency plans

  • Effectively motivate teams across departments, inclusive of external clients

  • Work with all levels in a constructive fashion to drive results and innovate processes in a fast-paced environment

  • Define project success criteria and disseminate information to involved parties throughout a project life cycle

  • Create and execute next steps to meet all milestone deliverables while optimizing client benefit

  • Deliver exceptional quality & experience to clients resulting in raving fans of alliantgroup

  • Qualifications

  • College degree required with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a project management or construction industry role

  • PMP or Six Sigma certification a plus

  • Proven track record of success in a project management role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High sense of urgency and expert level organizational skills required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required

  • Experience working in the professional services industry preferred

  • Ability to manage conflict and provide resolution

The focus for the client is to benefit from tax incentives realized through our expert analysis of their energy efficient designs implemented into these buildings. Each client works with a team of alliantgroup professionals including project managers, engineers, energy modelers, government relations professionals, attorneys, CPAs and more! Clients who qualify for these lucrative state and federal incentives have an opportunity to reinvest and grow their businesses and create jobs. Our energy modelers are some of the brightest, results-oriented and dynamic consultants in the business. The energy modeler has high visibility within one of our fastest growing and most successful divisions. In this role, you will be a key player in the team's success. You will work daily with the professional engineers and project managers as part of our Energy Services division. The energy modeler is organized, analytical and possesses strong business judgment and communication skills needed to interact with various organizational departments. In the energy modeler role, you will grow professionally and have an opportunity to lead a team! Responsibilities: * Review client-provided documentation and provide feedback to project teams on requirements for completion of our clients' energy studies * Analyze and transform drawings, specifications, field-notes and photographs into 3-D models of existing buildings * Conduct building operation energy performance simulations utilizing both industry standard and state of the art, proprietary software * Understand complex building science and how the performance of building components is intricately related, including HVAC, electrical and building envelope systems * Actively participate in daily project discussions and meetings to review project content and deadlines * Develop and improve current business practices and proprietary software used within our company by providing expert opinion with cross-functional teams * Expectation of confidentiality in all business matters - we work on some of the most secure facilities in the country * Preferred 1-2 years of experience in a professional, fast-paced environment within the AEC Industry * BA or BS degree required, architectural or engineering degree preferred * Proficiency with CAD software * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent problem-solving, research and analytical skills * High attention to detail * Above average organizational skills * Capable of effectively multi-tasking * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment * Candidate must reside or relocate to Houston, TX area Do Work That Matters. alliantgroup.
