We have a new opportunity for a Senior Project Manager. This position allows for work from home. The candidate must reside within 50 miles from Salt Lake City, UT because there is a requirement to report to the client sites for meetings and field walks on a weekly basis. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring assigned projects are executed in a professional and timely manner, you are able to satisfy the client's requirements and your success achieves Eichleay's profit objectives. As a Project Manager at Eichleay your duties will include cultivating and growing client relationships as well as coordination of all internal activities performed by Eichleay's staff.

Compensation: $110,000- $170,000 *anticipated annual salary may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer equity. The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting.

You will be responsible and accountable to ensure that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants, and that the requirements of the contract are being satisfied. You must have sufficient technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing and leadership skills to initiate appropriate corrective actions. As the primary interface with our clients, it is essential that you have excellent communication skills and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.

In this role you will have ultimate responsibility for both the quality of Eichleay's deliverables and effective execution of project assignments. On a large project, you may delegate certain project management responsibilities to a Project Manager and/ or Project Engineer, however you will retain authority and accountability for successful project delivery.

  • Ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) is emphasized throughout all phases of the project

  • Leading business development opportunities with new and existing clients.

  • Growing client relationships and opportunities with new and existing clients. Developing lasting relationships with clients.

  • Planning, scheduling, leading, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects.

  • Leading meetings with clients, contractors, and internal staff.

  • Preparing written communications and reports.

  • Managing and forecasting costs and resource needs on projects, using Eichleay internal systems.

  • Developing effective internal working relationships with company management, engineering and design staff, and project management peers.

  • Preparing engineering project proposals.

  • Management of budgets and trend tracking.

  • Development of schedules and leading interactive planning sessions with the project scheduler, disciplines, and clients.

  • Mentoring project engineers and developing them into project managers.

  • Meeting with direct reports biweekly and monitoring their project status.

  • Lead monthly project reviews for project portfolios.

  • Experience with the phase gate process, including TIC estimates.

  • Reviewing and approving client invoices prior to submittal.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years related experience with a minimum of five (5) years of project management experience.

  • Accredited four-year Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical field from an accredited university or equivalent experience.

  • Candidate must be located (or willing to relocate) within 50 miles of Salt Lake City, UT.

  • Candidate must have experience of successful performance as a project manager on a minimum of four (4) small to mid-size (up to $100m TIC) EP projects.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working on petroleum refining projects.

  • Ability to form and foster collaborative relationships within Eichleay and with clients and partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence the client for clear decision making and push back when necessary.

  • Experience with coordinating or managing project staff located in remote office locations.

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, delegation skills, with strong organizational capabilities and focus.

  • Understanding of the phase-gate work process for project funding.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-effective manner.

  • Command of essential project controls functions, including scheduling, planning, forecasting, estimating, and cost management.

  • Successfully demonstrated experience conducting and coordinating all technical and management aspects of projects.

  • Strong technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing and implement effective solutions.

  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to be badged for a process safety management governed facility which requires in depth drug screening.

  • Manage initial research of lessons learned and facilitate ongoing capture of new engineering lessons learned.

  • Identify and manage value engineering opportunities.

Preferred Requirements/Skills:

  • Experience with coordinating or managing project support staff located in remote office locations.

  • Experience working with phase-gate work process is desirable.

  • Demonstration of innovation, initiative, maturity, and sound judgement.

Industry Experience / Requirements:

This role may require all or some of the following requirements (as applicable):

  • RSO Safety Training and current card or ability to obtain.

  • Client Safety Training and current badge or ability to obtain.

  • TWIC Certification and current card or ability to obtain.

  • Client cGMP and Sterile Area Training and current badge or ability to obtain.

  • Background screening including previous employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification.

  • Participation in random drug and alcohol program.

Positions will require in-person interactions and may require working onsite in an office or field environment. This position is subject to federally mandated drug/alcohol testing. Candidates applying to Eichleay must have the ability to be badged and maintain a badge as a safety sensitive position and/or within the Building and Construction trade for process safety management governed facilities. This will require in-depth drug screening for all positions.

  • May be assigned to work at a Client's office, facility or site for an extended period of time. Conditions and/or schedule will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply. When performing work outside Eichleay and/or Client as required.

  • Candidates will be required to follow our clients' site based rules and protocols regarding infectious diseases.
