The Project Manager directly manages resources for the brand and digital performance marketing team, to achieve desired team productivity goals by assigning and managing projects, resolving escalations, and performing more complex duties of the team, as required. Performs coaching, mentoring, and training. The manager ensures standard repeatable testing processes are applied to projects, requests incidents and changes. Works with governance groups (working level) to prioritize requests. Performs request prioritization and develops plans for agreed work assignments and manages conflicting priorities. Contributes to department strategy through research of best practices in process engineering, continual service improvement, and organizational change management. Works under direction of senior manager level or above.
Displays high competency in project management, working in a fast-paced and complex environment, execution of large projects, and working under multiple and competing deadlines.
Leads and directs projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration and interaction with project sponsor and team.
Responsible for all project management deliverables; scope, schedule, and communication plan.
Coaches, monitors, and communicates the progress of project delivery and ensures timely and effective communication of project status in terms of forecast, schedule, and assessment of risk/issues.
Calculates critical path of project schedule(s). Creating and tracking project plans, milestones, and deliverables.
Ensure requirements and project timelines are clearly communicated and understood with all relevant parties.
Logs and tracks project risks and issues to ensure ownership is established and progress is made towards resolution with escalation being sought when needed.
Align resource allocation to ensure proper project prioritization.
Continually reviews and reevaluates available resources to determine project resource surplus and shortfalls.
Negotiates and influences cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate resourcing levels are engaged and maintained throughout the life of the project.
Proactively anticipates project risks and scope creep early and often to foresee potential problems and presents solutions to management.
Lead team meetings to review current projects, strategize new projects, determine priorities, and establish deadlines.
Adheres to all project management process guidelines and procedures.
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project specialists, as well as project team members; influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Contributes and participates in continual process improvement for the project management team.
Conduct project post-postmortems and create lessons learned to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Identify and document opportunities for: efficiency and process improvements; Lessons learned from previous rollouts and application to future deployments or/or operational support.
Independently manage projects and produce reports as assigned by leadership.
Uses judgment and discretion in escalating issues to leadership.
Performs people management duties to enhance team productivity and standards of work produced. Holds regular 1:1s (bi-weekly or weekly) to track performance and personal development progress as well as to coach and mentor. Undertakes goal setting and performance evaluation.
Seeks opportunities to listen and translate key learnings into potential solutions and initiatives.
Produces ad-hoc reports and/or presentations as needed.
Provides direction to project team members.
Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in project management, managing performance/business process improvement activities, including analyzing workflow processes or other continuous process improvement methodologies, and supports the execution of organizational improvements and change efforts.
Minimum one to five years of experience as a Manager, demonstrating technical/clinical leadership.
Experience working in a marketing, advertising agency, or strategic/integrated marketing role.
Proficient with project management tool(s).
One year of vendor management experience.
Proven ability to influence partners towards a common objective.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the creative development and review process.
Promotes collaboration and the sharing of ideas and perspectives with other internal functions and stakeholders.
Experience in managing and prioritizing multiple projects and partner needs.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), flexibility and adaptability to change.
Working knowledge of Project Management Tools/Platforms - Workfront.
Maintaining stable performance under pressure or opposition (e.g., experiencing time pressure, conflict, or job ambiguity); handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and to the organization.
