Position Description

The talented Digital team at Zumiez is busy evolving our customer touchpoints to continue to blow minds. We're looking for an experienced and capable Digital Project Manager to join our existing team of experts.

We're looking for someone who knows the technical and user-driven e-Commerce and multi-channel space; has hands-on experience managing small to large projects using tools and tactics that support business growth; someone who doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves to get the job done. We have projects to manage, resources to allocate, and programs to grow. Let's go!

The Creative Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects and deliverables in order to increase customer engagement and drive sales through all e-commerce marketing channels. They will work cross-functionally with many departments: Digital Sales, Digital Creative, UX/UI, Development, Digital Marketing, CRM, Brand Marketing, outside agencies and more.

As part of a nimble and talented team, they will be expected to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. For real. And they must be supremely organized, positive-minded, and excellent at communicating while working under pressure. Most of all, they must be passionate about creating a superior, seamless customer experience that tells a great story about our brands and drives revenue.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with all digital teams, coordinating all projects and deliverables

  • Manage annual marketing project calendar, with a cross-functional lens

  • Support digital sales events and promotions

  • Manage digital marketing support of Brand Marketing events and promotions

  • Partner with Brand Marketing Creative and Production teams on cross functional projects.

  • Support Digital Marketing (Email, Social and Search) to manage and coordinate messaging and cadence for a seamless and holistic customer experience.

  • Support Photo Studio to help oversee production calendar.

  • Support Creative and UX teams to manage calendar. Own workflow and assignments.

  • Manage Digital Marketing content process, from creative brief to launch.

  • Manage budget for team and special projects.

  • Recruite and manage freelance and contract design team.

  • Manage timeline of the Zumiez catalog (3 catalogs/year).

  • Produce location shoot timelines and day-of scheduling for catalog production

  • Manage Design team's workload and bandwidth.

  • Partner with PMO, Product and Technical Project Managers to manage cross functional projects.

  • Develop and foster deep understanding of the Zumiez brand and be an advocate for the brand within the team and its projects.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 - 7 years experience in e-commerce marketing as a traffic coordinator or PM.

  • Experience working on/with a team of creative, technical and marketing professionals.

  • Consistent positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Exemplary communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate feedback to peers in a constructive and supportive manner.

  • Proven ability to innovate and evolve processes.

  • Demonstrated passion for multi-channel retail, technology, ecommerce and marketing.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, team-oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.

  • Supremely organized with a passion for delivering projects on time and on, or under, budget.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn on the fly and react quickly.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance a high volume of projects and reprioritize efficiently in response to changing needs and situations.

  • Strong sense of urgency, ownership and drive.

  • Expert or advanced knowledge in traffic management tools such as Basecamp, Jira, and Airtable.

  • Understanding and intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma

  • Expert or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Teams.

  • Fluent Spanish speaker is a plus. Ability to translate written copy from English to Spanish.

  • Experience with DAM solutions and implementation of system is a plus.

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and Magento 2 is a plus.

  • Experience with print and/or catalog projects is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to sit at a workstation in an office environment for extended periods and work on a computer without limitations.

  • Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, core business hours are 8AM-5PM. plus occasional nights and/or weekends, based on business need. Zumiez is an in-person workforce, five days a week.

  • Travel: local travel only, less than 5%
